Abstract

PURPOSE: The title coating compound capable of being hot melt coated at relatively low temperatures with improved coating performance and forming a film having good heat resistance, obtained by blending a specific ester imide resin with a polyester resin.
CONSTITUTION: A) 10W250 parts by wt. of an ester imide resin having a melting viscosity not less than 1000 centipoise at 200°C, consisting of a diamine compound, a diisocyanate compound, or a trimellitic acid is blended with B) 100 parts by wt. of a polyester resin having a melting viscosity of 100W10000 (centipoise at 130°C, consisting of a) and aromatic polyfunctional carboxylic acid, e.g., terephthalic acid, etc., and (b) a polyhydric alcohol, e.g., ethylene glycol, etc. to give the desired coating compound.
USE: Mainly for electrical wires.
