Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a flow rate control system, which permits satisfactory water supply control with sudden charges of the water supply rate with the operation of a re-circulation valve suppressed by quickly detecting the rate of re-circulation through the re-circulation valve permitting part of the flow from a water supply pump back to a degasifier suppressed by quickly detecting the rate of re-circulation.
CONSTITUTION: In a flow control system, in which flow from a water supply pump 4 driven by a steam turbine 3 is supplied through a check valve 5 to a water supply heater 6 and is also partly re-circulated through a re-circulating path 30 having a re-circulating valve 7, an aperture detector 22 for detecting the aperture of the re-circulating valve 7 is provided and its output is coupled through a first function unit 23 to a multiplier 28. To this multiplier 28, a signal repesenting the pressure difference between the upstream and downstream sides of a re-circulating valve 7 is coupled through a differential operational unit 26 and a second function unit 27, and from this difference signal and the afore-mentioned aperture signal a signal representing the rate of flow through the re-circulating valve 7 is obtained and coupled to an adder 14, to which a water supply control unit 14 is connected.
