Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a low power type Doppler radar with high sensitivity to satisfy the without-permit using conditions, by obtaining very small output power by effectively using a balanced mixer circuit composed of 4-terminal 3 dB hybrid circuits. CONSTITUTION:In a Doppler radar composed of oscillating part, balanced mixer part, and antenna part, the balanced mixer circuit is made up 4-terminal 3 dB hybrid circuits such as rat race circuits, When a high frequency power is applied to terminal P2, a slight output is created at terminal P4 due to the difference in the reflection volume between teminals P1 and P3. At this time, the one end of mixer diodes 37, 38 is connected to resistor R1 and variable resistor VR1, and another variable resistor VR2 is connected between said two resistors, so that the Doppler output may be taken out from the middle of variable resistr VR2. In this structure, by adjusting the variable resistor VR1, the difference in the reflection volume may be canceled, so that the high frequency output may be changed from 0 to severel milliwatts. Also, by adjusting the variable resistor VR2, the S/N may be increased, so that the sensitivity may be enhanced.
