Abstract
PURPOSE: To carry out the adjustment of the thickness of the metallic raw material and the close contact of the metallic raw material against the collector rod, simultaneously in the dies, on purpose to make the metallic raw material to be suitable for the mass production, by placing the collector rod on the metallic raw material inserted in the dies, and by using the press jig for burying the collector rod into the metallic raw material.
CONSTITUTION: The raw material piece 14 of the soft metal like as Li, Al, etc., is inserted into the long groove 11 of the dies 10, and the collector rod 5 of the negative polarity is placed on the metallic raw material piece 14. The collector rod 5 is buried into the middle part of the metallic raw material piece 14 by the press jig 12; and the specified adjustment of thickness of the metallic raw material piece 14 and the winding of the raw material piece 14 round the collector rod 5 are simultaneously carried out. The press jig 12 is removed away, and the press die 13 is pushed into so as to closely attach a part of the metallic raw material piece 14, being swelling out at both end planes of the collector rod 5, to the collector rod 5; hereby, the metallic raw material 4 of a specified thickness winds round the circumference of the collector rod 5, and the negative electrode plate is formed. According to this method, the soft metallic electrode with uniform quality, in which the soft metallic raw material 4 is firmly contacting with the collector rod 5, can be manufactured.
