Abstract
PURPOSE: To scheme to stabilize quality and improve productivity by forming a lead cylindrical bushing through the forging of a block or cylinder body made of lead.
CONSTITUTION: When a lead bushing used for fixing electrode plate in a battery jar is manufactured, a cylinder body 11 made of lead or lead alloy is inserted into a core metal 12, and loaded on a lower mold 13, and then forged with the upper mold 14, and thus a lead bushing 15 having rugged part 15a and terminal part 15b in tapered cylindrical form on the outer surface is obtained. As manufactured through forging, the thickness T can be reduced, and high accuracy can be obtained, and through increasing the productivity, cost can be reduced, and also quality can be stabilized.
