Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:A heterocyclic azodimethylaminobenzoic acid shown by the formula (R is thiazole or benzothiazole ring).
EXAMPLE: 2-(2-thiazolylazo)-5-dimethylaminobenzoic acid.
USE: A reagent for selectively separating concentration, quantitative analysis by absorptiometric method, etc. due to sensitive color reaction only with V, Mn, Fe Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Pd, and U.
PROCESS: A compound shown by the formula is obtained by the coupling of a diazocompound of a heterocyclic amino compound shwon by the formula R-NH2 with m-demethylaminobenzoic acid.
