Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a composition characterized by stable conductivity, good workability, and good mechanical characterristics by adding a plasticizer and a specified amount of conductive carbon black to a specified polymer system consisting of a poly(vinyl chloride) resin and chlorinated polyethylene.
CONSTITUTION: To 100 parts (by weight) of a polymer system consisting of 90W50 parts of a poly(vinyl chloride) resin of an average polymerization degree of 700W 1500 and 10W50 parts of chlorinated polyethylne of a chlorine content of 35W45 wt%, there are added an adequate amount of a plasticizer and 60W100 parts of conductive carbon black. As the plasticizer is prefarably used 20W50 parts of an aliphatic ester, phthalate, trimllitic ester, polyester, or the like. As the conductive carbon black is properly used channel black, furnace black, or acetylene black.
