Abstract
PURPOSE: To economically carry out exhaust gas treatment satisfying an exhaust gas standard by primarily cooling hot combustion exhaust gas; passing part of the cooled gas through a secondary cooler to remove harmful gas by washing; mixing the washed gas with the remaining cooled gas; and releasing the mixed gas into the air after removing dust.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas of about 850°C generated from garbage incinerator 1 is cooled to about 500W600°C with primary exhaust gas cooler 3 to recover waste heat as steam. About 50% of the cooled gas is introduced into secondary exhaust gas cooler 9 to absorption remove about 800 ppm HC. contained to about 40 ppm as well as to cool the gas to about 70°C. In cooler 9, part of circulating water is discharged from the system with concn. regulation valve 11 and treated separately, and an alkaline aq. soln. and water are supplied with pH regulation valve 12 and water level regulation valve 13, respectively. The above cooled exhaust gas introduced through bypass 7 and the exhaust gas from cooler 9 are mixed, and the mixed exhaust gas of about 250W300°C contg. about 420 ppm HC. is exhausted through dust collector 16 with fan 17.
