Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the assembly operation easy and the manufacturing cost inexpensive in the exothermic apparatus having a PTC (positive temperature coefficient resistor).
CONSTITUTION: When applied to clothes dryers, the exothermic apparatus 37 having a PTC 36 as the heater disposed in the supplying duct of the air sucked by a fan has a holder 61 comprising the heat resistant synthetic resin being an insulation member. This holder 61 is formed like a shallow disk, has a plurality of circular through holes 62 in its bottom, and an integral set protrusion 63 located between the holes 62. The slightly peaky protrusion 63 having a laterally protruded jaw portion 64 and a stopper 64 is designed to fixedly engage with an upwardly located flexible engaging member 71 having a pair of snap tongues 73. The PTC 36 is fixed by pressing down its electrode portion 67 by means of said engaging member 71.
