Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically de-energize an electromagnetic switch through a simple construction, by connecting one end of an electromagnetic switch coil of a starter to an auxiliary diode terminal of an AC generator so that a prime mover rotates by itself.
CONSTITUTION: Wnen a main switch 2 and a key switch 3 are turned on, a charge lamp 13 provided between the key switch 3 and a terminal L and the electromagnetic switch coil 5 of the starter 4 are energized. Because the resistance of the lamp 13 is much higher than that of the coil 5, the voltage of the terminal L is much lower than that of a battery. Thus, a desired current flows through the coil 5 to start the prime mover. When the prime mover rotates by itself, the AC generator 11 produces power. The voltage of the terminal L is equalized to that of the battery by a rectified voltage produced by passing the power through auxiliary diodes 11A. As a result, the coil 5 is automatically de-energized stop the starter 4.
