USE: Fungicide; intermediate of pharmaceuticals.
PROCESS: The compound of the formula is prepared by reating 1-indanone or 1,2- indanedione with nitrogen tetrasulfide in an inert solvent such as benzene, toluene, xylene, etc., for several to several tens hours, pref. with heating.
