Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a rotary valve wherein the surface of a flexible belt is caused to tightly adhere to the outer peripheral surface of an impeller, and, at the same time, the outer peripheral surface of the impeller and the surface of the belt are shifted simultaneously thereby to reduce the leakage of a fluid in the case where there is a pressure difference between the outlet and inlet parts.
CONSTITUTION: When granular bodies 6 are charged into a chute 5 and position fixed rollers 8 and 9 at the upper and lower parts are rotated through sprockets 11 and 12 by a drive source (not shown), a belt 17 is rotated thereby in the direction indicated by arrow, and an impeller 1 tightly connected to the surface of the blet 17 is rotated by the frictional force in the direction indicated by arrow. By the rotation of the impeller 1 granular bolies 6 within the chute 5 enter the spaces formed between the vanes of the impeller 1, and shift to the parts of an exhaust pipe 7 in accordance with the rotation of impeller 1. Air within the pipe 7 flows, whereby the above described granular bodies 6 are blown out and shifted in the exhaust pipe 7.
