NEW MATERIAL:2,6-Dioxo-5-(maleimidoacyloxy)imino-4-alkylimino-1,3-di-substituted hexahydroWpyrimidine of formula I (R1 is difunctional aliphatic or cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon residue or difunctional aromatic group residue; R2 is alkyl; R3 is alkyl, aryl).
EXAMPLE: 2,6-Dioxo-5-(p-maleimidobenzoyloxy)imino-4-methylimino-1,3- dimethylhexahydroWpyrimidine.
USE: Bonding reagent in the field of biochemistry, medical science, etc. Bonds with a substance having sulfhydryl group under mild conditions in high yield, and useful for the enzyme immobilization, enzyme immunoassay, etc.
PROCESS: The compound I is prepared by reacting a compound II with a compound III in a solvent such as benzene in the presence of a dehydrative condensing agent such as carbodiimide, etc.
