Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve efficiency in operation over the entire system by directly transferring data between a data storage unit and center unit on the basis of unit addresses assigned to the data storage unit. CONSTITUTION:Remote unit 1 is connected to center unit 2 via circuit 3, and devices 5-0 and 5-1 connected to terminal controller 4 are connected to unit 1. Here, a unit address or logic unit is assigned to each device, and one or a plural number of addresses or a logic unit is assigned corresponding to data storage unit 6 provided to controller 4. Consequently, each device can carry out normal processes by directly transferring data between unit 6 and center unit 2 on the basis of unit addresses or logic units assigned to unit 6, so that the efficiency in operation over the entire system can be improved.
