Abstract
PURPOSE: To connect a drain pipe directly to a public sewer at a small gradient, by providing a foul water reserve tank under a simple flush toilet stool and coupling the drain pipe to the tank and opening a drain valve attached to the tank to conduct foul water to the drain pipe.
CONSTITUTION: The foul water reserve tank 4 is provided under the simple flush toilet stool 1. The drain pipe 7 is connected to the tank 4. The drain valve 5 attached to the tank is opened to conduct the foul water to the drain pipe 7. The tank 4 has a capacity high enough to flush such a quantity of water that the drain pipe 7 does not get clogged with filth. The bottom of the tank 4 has a gradient toward the drain valve 5. The valve is opened by pulling a lever 10 coupled to a wire 9 and is automatically closed by a spring 8. Thus, the drain pipe does not get clogged even if the flowing gradient of the pipe is small or the pipe is long or curved. Therefore, the drain pipe can be coupled directly to the public sewer and a flush toilet can be easily built.
