Abstract

PURPOSE: To stably perform the transfer of tape cartridges by so arranging the apparatus that when one of a plurality of the tape cartridges contained in a tray comes to the position opposing to the tape deck this is transferred into the tape deck.
CONSTITUTION: When one of a plurality of tape cartridges 132 in a tray 28 comes to the position opposing to a tape deck 130, a transfer motor 82 rotates and the rotation thereof causes a transfer roller 100 to be rotated counterclockwise by way of a worm wheel 96, gear wheel 94 and transfer gear 102 or the like and at the same time causes a delivery roller 112 to be rotated in the same direction as the roller 100 by way of an intermediate gear 108, delivery gear 114 or the like from the gear 102. As a result, the roller 112 draws out the cartridge 132 from the inside of the tray 28, contacts the same to the roller 100 and has it inserted and loaded into the deck 130 by a guide body 126. When the loading is detected, the roller 100 stops rotating.
