Abstract

PURPOSE: To control braking force of an unmanned vehicle, by detecting whether braking force is sufficient or not through comparison of actual vehicle speed and a reference speed and thereby compensating the braking force.
CONSTITUTION: When brake switch 23 is turned ON, reference speed VT is given. Since actual vehicle speed VW is larger than VT at the initial stage, a signal S2 for increasing the braking hydraulic pressure is produced from comparator 24 and solenoid R2 is energized. As a result, changeover valve 14 is shifted to position (c), so that pressure air is supplied from pressure air source 11 to signal air input section 6' of air pressure/oil pressure converting means 6 in the manner gradually increasing the air pressure, which causes in turn increasing of braking hydraulic pressure. As the braking force is increased and when VT becomes larger than VW, output of comparator 24 is cut off and changeover valve 14 is returned to its closed position, whereby signal air pressure and hence the braking force is held in the condition.
