Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the sheath blight of rice plant outbreaks after the transplantation to the regular rice paddy, by treating the soil of nursery bed with a specific benzanilide-type pesticide.
CONSTITUTION: Soil of a nursery bed is treated with a pesticide containing o-trifluoromethyl-m'-isopropoxy benzanilide of the formula as effective component. The pesticide is pref. applied in the form of granules, tablets, etc. The amount of the pesticide applied is 3W15 g per 1800 cm2 of a nursery bed in the csase of treating a nursery box having dimensions of 60 cm L × 30 cm W × 3 cm H.
