Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability of the system as a whole by detecting the occurrence of disconnection and its polarity via the output of the differential amplifier which uses the reference voltage for disconnection detection as the double input. CONSTITUTION:The power and the control signal are transmitted to many terminal units 3 from CPU via 2-core private line 2 and by the double-current base band transmission, and the return signal is sent back to CPU from unit 3 in the current mode. Then current detecting resistance R is inserted in series to line 2 to convert the signals on line 2 into the voltage signal. The converted signal is then isolated into the positive and negative side signals through isolator circuit 8, and the disconnection detecting reference voltage of the positive and negative sides are produced by each isolated output in the control period of the steady time other than the communication signal time. Thus, the occurrence and the polarity of the disconnection are detected by the output of differential amplifier 19 and 20 which use the disconnection detecting reference voltage as the double input. As a result, the reliability can be enhanced for the system as a whole.
