Abstract

PURPOSE: To give marking film excellent in corrosion resistance and other properties, by printing a mark with aq. ink on a metallic plate or pipe which has been preliminarily heated by contact with hot iron plate at the marking surface, then by drying the mark with hot air.
CONSTITUTION: An iron plate for use in making forge-welded pipe is preliminarily heated by direct contact with hot iron plate of a shape same as that of iron plate to be marked, then it is immediately printed with aq. ink (e.g., alkyd resin type), successively dried with hot air. This method gives marking film excellent in corrosion resistance and other properties, with no abnormal appearance.
