Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.(a)配列番号:2の推定アミノ酸配列を有するポリペプチド、または該 ポリペプチドのフラグメント、アナログもしくは誘導体をコードするポリヌクレ オチド; (b)ATCC受託番号第75977号に含まれるcDNAによりコードされる アミノ酸配列を有するポリペプチド、または該ポリペプチドのフラグメント、ア ナログもしくは誘導体をコードするポリヌクレオチド; よりなる群から選択される、単離されたポリヌクレオチド。 2.ポリヌクレオチドがDNAである、請求項1に記載のポリヌクレオチド。 3.ポリヌクレオチドがRNAである、請求項1に記載のポリヌクレオチド。 4.ポリヌクレオチドがゲノムDNAである、請求項1に記載のポリヌクレオ チド。 5.該ポリヌクレオチドが、配列番号:2の推定アミノ酸配列を有するポリペ プチドをコードする、請求項2に記載のポリヌクレオチド。 6.該ポリヌクレオチドが、ATCC受託番号第75977号のcDNAによ りコードされるポリペプチドをコードする、請求項2に記載のポリヌクレオチド 。 7.配列番号:1に示すコーディング配列を有する、請求項1に記載のポリヌ クレオチド。 8.ATCC受託番号第75977号として寄託されたポリペプチドのコーデ ィング配列を有する、請求項2に記載のポリヌクレオチド。 9.請求項2に記載のDNAを含むベクター。 10.請求項9に記載のベクターで遺伝的に操作された宿主細胞。 11.ポリペプチドを製造する方法であって、該DNAによりコードされるポ リペプチドを請求項10に記載の宿主細胞から発現させることを含む方法。 12.ポリペプチドを発現させることが可能である細胞を製造する方法であっ て、細胞を請求項9に記載のベクターで遺伝的に操作することを含む方法。 13.請求項2に記載のDNAにハイブリダイズすることが可能であって、K GF−2活性を有するポリペプチドをコードする、単離されたDNA。 14.(i)配列番号:2の推定アミノ酸配列を有するポリペプチド、および そのフラグメント、アナログおよび誘導体;および (ii)ATCC受託番号第75977号のcDNAによりコードされるポリペプ チド、および該ポリペプチドのフラグメント、アナログおよび誘導体; よりなる群から選択されるポリペプチド。 15.該ポリペプチドが配列番号:2の推定アミノ酸配列を有するKGF−2 である請求項14に記載のポリペプチド。 16.請求項14に記載のポリペプチドに対する抗体。 17.請求項14に記載のポリペプチドに対して有効なアゴニストである化合 物。 18.請求項14に記載のポリペプチドに対して有効なアンタゴニストである 化合物。 19.KGF−2を必要とする患者の治療方法であって、請求項14に記載の ポリペプチドの治療上有効な量を該患者に投与することを含む方法。 20.KGF−2を阻害する必要がある患者の治療方法であって、請求項18 に記載の化合物の治療上有効な量を該患者に投与することを含む方法。 21.ポリペプチドの治療上有効な量を該ポリペプチドをコードするDNAを 該患者に与えて、該ポリペプチドをイン・ビボで発現させることによって投与す る、請求項19に記載の方法。 22.KGF−2に対するアゴニストとして活性のある化合物を同定する方法 であって、 (a)スクリーニングされるべき化合物を、細胞を含む反応混合物と、該細胞が KGF−2によって通常刺激される条件下で混合し、その際、該反応混合物は増 殖するにつれて該細胞に組み込まれる標識を含み; (b)該細胞の増殖の程度を決定して、該化合物が有効なアゴニストであるかど うかを確認する ことを含む方法。 23.KGF−2を工程(a)の混合物に加え、KGF−2に対するアンタゴ ニストとして活性のある化合物を同定するための請求項22に記載の方法。 24.請求項14に記載のポリペプチドの過小発現に関連のある疾患または該 疾患の罹患し易さを診断する方法であって、 宿主由来のサンプルから該ポリペプチドをコードする核酸配列を単離し;つい で 該ポリペプチドをコードする核酸配列中の変異を決定する ことを含む方法。 25.宿主由来のサンプル中の請求項14に記載のポリペプチドの存在を分析 することを含む診断方法。
