2. Description of the Related Art In a printed wiring board on which electronic parts such as IC and LSI are efficiently mounted in a circuit of an electronic device, the wiring pattern becomes fine and complicated as the mounting density increases, and the printed wiring board is formed on the wiring pattern. Since the individual wirings and the intervals are narrowed, fine conductive dust may adhere to the wirings and cause a short circuit. For this reason, the surface of the portion other than the land to which the electronic component is soldered is insulation-coated with the overlay to prevent the wirings of the wiring pattern from being short-circuited.

In this overlay, a photo-developing liquid resist ink is uniformly applied to the surface of a printed wiring board on which a wiring pattern is formed, and ultraviolet rays are applied to parts other than lands to be soldered to be photo-cured. It is formed by removing the uncured resist ink in the land portion. Therefore, in the case of a printed wiring board having wiring patterns formed on both front and back surfaces, it is necessary to attach the resist ink to both the front and back surfaces.
We have proposed a double-sided coating device in which electrostatic coating machines for coating resist ink on the upper surface and the lower surface of the printed wiring board are arranged on the upper and lower sides of a conveying line for horizontal conveyance (see Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 6-27986). ).

As shown in FIG. 7, an electrostatic coater 41A for coating the surface of the printed wiring board P is arranged above the transport line 42 so as to face downward, and electrostatic coater 41A is provided below it. Decoy plate 43 that forms an electrostatic field with machine 41A
A is arranged so as to sandwich the transport line 42. On the other hand, an electrostatic applicator 41B for applying the back surface of the printed wiring board P is disposed upward below the transport line 42, and an electrostatic field is formed above the electrostatic applicator 41B with the electrostatic applicator 41B. The decoy board 43B is disposed so as to sandwich the transport line 42.

According to this, electrostatic coating machines 41A, 41B
Since an electrostatic field is formed between the decoupling plates 43A and 43B, the resist ink sprayed from the electrostatic applicators 41A and 41B is made of an insulating material on the way to the decoy plates 43A and 43B, respectively. Since the front and back surfaces of P are uniformly electrostatically applied, the resist ink can be applied relatively uniformly without dripping when applied upward from below the printed wiring board.

However, even when the decoy plates 43A and 43B are used as described above, the resist ink is sprayed downward from above the printed wiring board P and the resist ink is sprayed downward from above. In this case, the directions of the attractive force are opposite to each other. Therefore, when the coating is applied under exactly the same conditions, the film thicknesses on the front surface and the back surface become non-uniform, and the drying conditions (time, temperature) and photo-curing conditions after the coating ( There is a problem that the light intensity, time) etc. are different.
For this reason, conventionally, the spray amount of each electrostatic applicator 41A, 41B, the electrostatic applicator 41A, 41B, and the decoy plate 43A, 43B.
Although it is attempted to individually adjust the voltage value applied to the coating material and to apply the coating material on both the front and back surfaces of the coating object with a uniform film thickness, there is a problem that the adjustment work is complicated and troublesome.

Further, if the printed wiring board is carried in a state of being suspended vertically, the resist ink can be sprayed from both right and left sides of the carrying line so that both front and back surfaces can be coated under the same conditions. When the coating is applied while kept vertical, the coating material flows and the coating failure called sagging occurs. Therefore, the present invention has as a technical problem to enable the coating material to be applied to the front surface and the back surface of a thin plate-shaped object with a uniform film thickness and at the same time to prevent coating defects such as sagging. There is.

According to the present invention, the thin plate-like object to be coated carried in by the carry-in conveyor is brought close to the main conveyor side with one end side thereof being placed on the support of the first auxiliary conveyor. Therefore, the thin plate-like object is pushed into the main conveyor side, and the opposite edge is inserted into the clip formed at the tip of the arm of the main conveyor and is clamped. Therefore, one end of the thin plate-shaped object is held by the clip formed on the arm of the main conveyor, and the other end is supported by the support tool of the first auxiliary conveyor, so that both ends of the thin plate-shaped object are supported. Unlike the case where only one end is supported, it does not tilt due to its own weight, and for example, it is conveyed horizontally with the surface facing up, and the surface is sprayed with a coating material from a coating machine placed above it. Is applied.

The above is an example of the configuration of the present invention, and its operation will be described below. First, the thin plate-shaped article P that has been carried into the loading position 7A by the carry-in conveyor 9 is mainly supported by the support tool 17A with one end thereof being placed on the support tool 17A of the surface coating auxiliary conveyor 6A. Since it is close to the conveyor 5 side, the thin plate-shaped article P is pushed into the main conveyor 5 side, and its edge is inserted and fixed in the clip 10 formed at the tip of the arm 11 of the main conveyor 5. Therefore, one end of the thin plate-shaped article P is held by the clip 10 formed on the arm 11 of the main conveyor 5, and the other end is supported by the support tool 17A of the surface coating auxiliary conveyer 6A. Since both ends of the coating material P are supported, unlike the case where only one end is supported, the coating material P does not tilt due to its own weight and is conveyed horizontally with the surface facing upward, and the coating material is sprayed onto the surface from the coating machine 3A. As described above, according to the present invention, the surface of the thin plate-shaped article to be coated is conveyed horizontally in the upward direction, the coating material is applied to the surface, and then the coating material is inverted to form the back surface. Since the coating material is applied with the top facing upward, in both cases, by spraying the coating material downward from the coating machine arranged above, both the front surface and the back surface can be coated under substantially the same conditions. It is not necessary to individually set the operating conditions of each coating machine, and it is possible to form a uniform coating film without causing coating defects such as sagging and uneven film thickness. Further, at the loading position, since the thin plate-shaped article to be coated is automatically loaded, there is no trouble of loading work, and further, the front surface coating auxiliary conveyer and the back surface coating auxiliary conveyer are moved close to or away from the main conveyor. Since the interval can be adjusted, it is possible to reliably transport thin plate-shaped objects of various sizes in a horizontal state and apply them uniformly.
