Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.長期保存および輸血に先立って血液製剤に含まれる微生物を失活する方法で あって、 a)任意の順序で、i)8−メトキシプソラレン、ii)8−メトキシプソラレ ンを活性化する手段、iii)微生物で汚染されている疑いのあるin vivo使用を意 図した血液製剤、を用意し; b)該血液製剤に8−メトキシプソラレンを約30μg/mlまたはそれ以下 の最終濃度で加え;そして c)8−メトキシプソラレンを活性化して、該核酸結合性化合物を微生物の一 部の核酸に共有結合で結合させる; ことからなる方法。 2.微生物が単細胞および多細胞の生物である、請求項1記載の方法。 3.生物がバクテリア、真菌、マイコプラズマおよび原生動物である、請求項2 記載の方法。 4.血液製剤が血小板を含む、請求項1記載の方法。 5.血液製剤が血漿を含む、請求項1記載の方法。 6.活性化手段が180〜400nmの波長を有する所定の強度の電磁放射線ス ペクトルを発することができる光活性化装置からなる、請求項1記載の方法。 7.前記の強度が20mW/cm2より小さい、請求項6記載の方法。 8.血液製剤を前記の強度に10分未満の間さらす、請求項7記載の方法。 9.血液製剤を前記の強度に約5分間さらす、請求項8記載の方法。 10.in vivo使用を意図した物質の処理方法であって、 a)任意の順序で、i)1種またはそれ以上の光反応性の核酸結合性化合物、 ii)該核酸結合性化合物を光活性化する手段、およびiii)微生物で汚染されて いる疑いのあるin vivo使用を意図した物質、を用意し; b)光反応性の核酸結合性化合物を該物質に加え;そして c)光反応性の核酸結合性化合物を、330〜350nmの波長で最大強度を 有する電磁放射線スペクトルにより光活性化して、該核酸結合性化合物を微生物 の一部の核酸に共有結合で結合させる; ことからなる方法。 11.光活性化手段が320nm(これ以下の放射線を透過しない)および360 nm(これ以上の放射線を透過しない)の波長カットオフを有するフィルターを 含む、請求項10記載の方法。 12.前記の強度が20mW/cm2より小さい、請求項10記載の方法。 13.前記の物質が血液製剤である、請求項10記載の方法。 14.血液製剤を前記の強度に10分間さらす、請求項8記載の方法。 15.光反応性の核酸結合性化合物がフロクマリン類よりなる群から選ばれる、請 求項10記載の方法。 16.フロクマリンがプソラレン類よりなる群から選ばれる、請求項15記載の方法 。 17.プソラレンが8−メトキシプソラレンである、請求項16記載の方法。 18.in vivo使用を目的とした物質および30μg/mlより低い濃度の8−メ トキシプソラレンを含む水溶液からなる、抗微生物特性を有する組成物。 19.前記の物質がヒトに用いるものである、請求項18記載の組成物。 20.前記の濃度が約3μg/mlである、請求項18記載の組成物。
