(57)【要約】 【目的】 使い捨ておむつの着用感を向上させる。 【構成】 使い捨ておむつ１において、透液性表面シー
ト２と不透液性裏面シート３との間に吸液性コア４を介
在させて、そのコア４の本体１４を上面ティッシュペー
パー１５と下面ティッシュペーパー１６とで被覆し、そ
れら上下面ティッシュペーパー１５，１６を本体１４の
周縁から所要寸法ｄだけ離間させて合掌状に重ね合わ
せ、かつ、接合する。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】この発明は、使い捨ておむつに関
する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】従来、使い捨ておむつにおいて、表面シ
ートと裏面シートとの間に介在させる吸液性コアを粉砕
パルプなどを圧縮してなるコア本体と、その本体を被覆
する透液性のティッシュペーパーとで構成する技術は公
知である。
【０００３】例えば、米国特許第４，６３６，２０７号
公報には、コア本体の上下面を上面ティッシュペーパー
と下面ティッシュペーパーで被覆する技術が開示されて
いる。この技術では、コア本体の端縁から下面ティッシ
ュペーパーを延出させ、その延出させた部分を端縁に密
着させて本体上面側へ折り返し、そこで上面ティッシュ
ペーパーに重ねて接合する。一方、上下面ティッシュペ
ーパーの幅は本体の幅よりも小さく、したがって上下面
ティッシュペーパーの側縁がコア本体側縁の内側に位置
している。このように上下面ティッシュペーパーで被覆
した本体は、さらに底面部を裏面シートで被覆し、残余
の部分を表面シートで被覆する。上下面ティッシュペー
パーは各々本体と接合する他に、表面シートまたは裏面
シートと接合し、吸液性コアがそれら両シートに対して
ずれ動くことがないようにする。
【０００４】また、米国特許第４，６８１，５７９号公
報には、１枚のティッシュペーパーでコア本体の上面か
ら側縁を経て下面に至る範囲を被覆したおむつが開示さ
れている。このおむつにおいても、ティッシュペーパー
は本体の側縁に密着している。
【０００５】
【発明が解決しようとする課題】前記公知技術が開示す
るティッシュペーパーによるコア本体の被覆構造では、
ティッシュペーパーが本体の側縁や端縁とそれらの近傍
とに密着して当該部における本体の型崩れを防止する効
果を奏している。一方、本体は一般に粉砕パルプや高吸
水性ポリマー粉末を圧縮賦型してなるものであって、比
較的剛性が高い。それゆえこの本体に前記公知技術を利
用すると、その周縁部分が角張っておむつにごつごつし
た感じをもたらし、着用感の妨げになることがある。同
じように、ずれ動くことを防止するためにティッシュペ
ーパーを本体や表裏面シートに接合することも、その接
合部位がごつごつした感じをもたらし、着用感の妨げに
なることがある。
【０００６】そこでこの発明は、コア本体の上下面の各
々を被覆する第１、２ティッシュペーパーの周縁部分を
本体の縁部から離間したところで合掌状に重ね合わせて
接合することなどにより、前記従来技術の問題を解決す
ることを課題にしている。
【０００７】
【課題を解決するための手段】この発明が前記課題を解
決するために手段とするところは、以下のとおりであ
る。
【０００８】この発明においては、透液性表面シートと
不透液性裏面シートとの間に吸液性材料からなるコア本
体を介在させ、その本体をティッシュペーパーで被覆し
た使い捨ておむつを前提にしている。
【０００９】かかる前提において、ティッシュペーパー
を本体の上面を被覆する第１ティッシュペーパーと下面
を被覆する第２ティッシュペーパーとで構成し、本体の
縁部から水平方向に延出させた第１、２ティッシュペー
パー各々の周縁部分を本体の縁部から所要寸法だけ離間
させて合掌状に重ね合わせ、その重ね合わせた部分で互
いを接合したことがこの発明の特徴である。
【００１０】この発明の実施態様の一つにおいては、コ
ア本体の縁部から延出させた表裏面シートの周縁部分を
互いに接合して袋を形成し、その袋の内面に前記第１、
２ティッシュペーパーの合掌状に重ね合わせた部分の外
縁を水平方向から当接させてある。
【００１１】また、他の実施態様においては、コア本体
の縁部から水平方向に延出させた表裏面シートの合掌状
に重ね合わせて接合した周縁部分において、それら表裏
面シート間に第１、２ティッシュペーパーを介在させて
ある。

【作用】このように構成したおむつでは、コア本体の上
下面を被覆する第１、２ティッシュペーパーを本体の縁
部から延出させ、その縁部から所要寸法だけ離間したと
ころで合掌状に重ね合わせて接合したから、その接合し
た部分と本体の縁部との間で、第１、２ティッシュペー
パーの少なくともいずれか一方が穏やかな傾斜面をつく
り、本体の縁部が角張るのを防止する。
【００１３】また、表裏面シートの周縁部を接合して袋
をつくり、袋の内面に水平方向から第１、２ティッシュ
ペーパーの接合した部分の外縁を当接するか、または表
裏面シートの周縁部間に第１、２ティッシュペーパーを
介在させてそれら周縁部を接合すると、表裏面シートに
対しコアがずれ動くことを防止できる。

【実施例】この発明に係る使い捨ておむつの詳細を添付
の図面を参照して説明すると、以下のとおりである。
【００１５】図１は、使い捨ておむつ１の部分破断斜視
図であり、図２、３は、図１のＩＩ−ＩＩ線、ＩＩＩ−
ＩＩＩ線端面図である。
【００１６】これらの図において、おむつ１は透液性表
面シート２と、不透液性裏面シート３と、それら両シー
ト２，３間に介在する吸液性コア４とによって構成さ
れ、左右両側縁部と後身頃端縁部とには表裏面シート
２，３のいずれかの内面に伸長状態で貼着した脚周り弾
性部材５と腰周り弾性部材６とがある。後身頃の左右側
縁部には慣用のテープファスナ７が取り付けてある。
【００１７】表裏面シート２，３は、矩形のコア４を構
成するコア本体１４の四周から水平方向に延出し、周縁
からの距離Ｄのところで合掌状に重なり合い、ホットメ
ルト接着剤１１により互いに接合することで四周が閉じ
た外袋１２を形成している。
【００１８】コア４は、粉砕パルプを加圧賦型してなる
矩形のコア本体１４と、その上面を被覆する上面ティッ
シュペーパー１５と、下面を被覆する下面ティッシュペ
ーパー１６とからなる。上下面ティッシュペーパー１
５，１６は、大きさが同じ矩形のものであって、本体１
４の四周から延出して距離ｄのところで合掌状に重なり
合い、ホットメルト接着剤１７により互いに接合するこ
とで内袋１８を形成している。内袋１８は、その外周縁
１９が外袋１２の内面に水平方向から当接しており、コ
ア４は外袋１２の中で容易にずれ動くことがない。なお
コア本体１４と上下面ティッシュペーパーとは必要に応
じて間欠的に接合し、相互にずれ動くことがないように
することができる。
【００１９】外袋１２を形成する表裏面シート２，３、
および内袋１８を形成する上下面ティッシュペーパー１
５，１６は、各々コア本体１４の周縁からの距離Ｄとｄ
の範囲で緩やかに傾斜し、おむつ１を着用したときに本
体１４の比較的硬い縁部が角張って肌に食い込むように
作用するのを防止している。ちなみに距離Ｄとｄとは測
定部位が同じであればＤ＞ｄの関係にあり、その関係を
保ちながら各側縁や端縁ではそれらの値が変化していて
もよい。
【００２０】図４は、おむつ１の態様の一例を示す図２
と同様の端面図である。このおむつ１では、合掌状に重
ね合わせた表裏面シート２，３の間に上下面ティッシュ
ペーパー１５，１６を介在させて接合することにより、
コア４が表裏面シート２，３に対してずれ動くことがな
いようにしてある。この場合、好ましくは上下面ティッ
シュペーパー１５，１６もホットメルト接着剤１７で互
いに接合しておく。図４の態様では、図２のそれと異な
りＤ＝ｄとなることがある。
【００２１】この発明に係るおむつ１においては、表裏
面シート２，３や上下面ティッシュペーパー１５，１６
に当該技術分野の慣用素材を使用することができる。ま
た、上下面ティッシュペーパー１５，１６には親水性繊
維に所要量の疎水性繊維を混合したシート素材を利用し
てもよい。そのようにするとティッシュペーパーの体液
拡散性を向上させることができる。

【発明の効果】この発明に係るおむつでは、コア本体を
被覆する上下面ティッシュペーパーをコア本体の周縁か
ら延出させ、かつ、その周縁から所要寸法だけ離間させ
て合掌状に重ね合わせて接合したから、コア本体の周縁
は角張ることがなくおむつの着用感が向上する。
【００２３】また、このおむつでは、上下面ティッシュ
ペーパーの外周縁部を表裏面シートが形成する外袋の内
面に当接することなどによって、コアが表裏面シートに
対しずれ動くことがないようにしたから、従来技術に見
られるような接着剤によるティッシュペーパーと表裏面
シートとの接合が不要となり、おむつの肌触りが柔軟に
なる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】透液性表面シートと不透液性裏面シートと
    の間に吸液性材料からなるコア本体を介在させ、前記本
    体をティッシュペーパーで被覆した使い捨ておむつにお
    いて、 前記ティッシュペーパーを前記本体の上面を被覆する第
    １ティッシュペーパーと下面を被覆する第２ティッシュ
    ペーパーとで構成し、前記本体の縁部から水平方向に延
    出させた前記第１、２ティッシュペーパー各々の周縁部
    分を前記縁部から所要寸法だけ離間させて合掌状に重ね
    合わせ、その重ね合わせた部分で互いを接合したことを
    特徴とする前記おむつ。
  2. 【請求項２】前記コア本体の縁部から延出させた前記表
    裏面シートの周縁部分を互いに接合して袋を形成し、そ
    の袋の内面に前記第１、２ティッシュペーパーの合掌状
    に重ね合わせた部分の外縁を水平方向から当接させてあ
    る請求項１記載のおむつ。
  3. 【請求項３】前記コア本体の縁部から水平方向に延出さ
    せた前記表裏面シートの合掌状に重ね合わせて接合した
    周縁部分において、それら表裏面シート間に前記第１、
    ２ティッシュペーパーを介在させてある請求項１記載の
    おむつ。
