(57)【要約】 【目的】 文章データの画面表示を高速になし得る文書
データ管理システムを提供すること。 【構成】 他のコンピュータで管理されている文書デー
タを通信回線を介して取り出す通信処理装置３と、ユー
ザの要求する文書データを画面に表示する文書データ表
示装置１とを有し、この文書データ表示装置１からの文
書データ取り出し要求を処理する文書データ要求処理装
置２を備え、通信処理装置３から利用される文書データ
書き込み手段６と文書データ要求処理装置から利用され
る文書データ読み出し手段５を有した文書データ管理装
置４を装備している。文書データ表示装置１は、通信処
理装置の動作とは非同期に文書データ要求処理装置２に
対して文書読み出し要求を行なう非同期読み出し機能を
備えていること。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、文書データ管理システ
ムに係り、とくに、通信回線で結合された他のコンピュ
ータで管理されている文書データを通信回線を利用して
取り出し、画面上に表示する機能を備えた文書データ管
理システムに関する。

【従来の技術】通信回線で結合された他のコンピュータ
で管理されている文書データを通信回線を利用して取り
出し、画面上に表示する機能を持った文書データ管理シ
ステムでは、従来より、文書データを表示する場合に次
のような手法を採っていた。
【０００３】図２に従来の方式の概要を示す。図中の符
号５１は文書データ表示装置、符号５２は通信処理装
置、符号５３は文書データファイルを示している。文書
データ表示装置５１は、表示する文書データをディスク
上に取り出すために、通信処理装置５２に文書データ取
り出し要求を発行する。この際、文書データ表示装置５
１は、通信処理装置５２に対して表示する文書を一意に
識別する文書データ番号と文書データをディスク上に取
り出すための文書データファイル名とを、通信処理装置
５２に対して通知する。通信処理装置５２は、通信回線
を利用して通信を行い、他のコンピュータ上に管理され
ている文書データを取り出し、文書データ表示装置５１
から指定された文書データファイル名でディスク上に書
き出すと共に、文書データファイル５３を作成する。通
信処理装置５２は、全ての文書データを書き出した後、
文書データ表示装置５１に制御を戻す。制御の戻った文
書データ表示装置５１はディスク上から文書データファ
イル５３を読みだし、文書データの表示を行う。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】前述した従来の方式で
は、通信管理装置５２が全ての文書データを受信して、
文書データファイル５３に書き出すまで文書データの表
示が行えない。そのため、特に文書データのデータサイ
ズが大きい場合に応答時間が長くかかるという不都合が
あった。

【発明の目的】本発明は、かかる従来例の有する不都合
を改善し、とくに、文章データの画面表示を高速になし
得る文書データ管理システムを提供することを、その目
的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明では、他のコンピ
ュータで管理されている文書データを通信回線を介して
取り出す通信処理装置と、ユーザの要求する文書データ
を画面に表示する文書データ表示装置とを有し、この文
書データ表示装置からの文書データ取り出し要求を処理
する文書データ要求処理装置を備え、通信処理装置から
利用される文書データ書き込み手段と文書データ要求処
理装置から利用される文書データ読み出し手段を有した
文書データ管理装置を装備すると共に、文書データ表示
装置が、通信処理装置の動作とは非同期に前記文書デー
タ要求処理装置に対して文書データ読み出し要求を行な
う非同期読み出し機能を備える、という構成を採ってい
る。これによって前述した目的を達成しようとするもの
である。

【実施例】以下、本発明の一実施例を図１に基づいて説
明する。この図１に示す実施例は、他のコンピュータで
管理されている文書データを通信回線を介して取り出す
通信処理装置３と、ユーザの要求する文書データを画面
に表示する文書データ表示装置１とを有し、この文書デ
ータ表示装置１からの文書データ取り出し要求を処理す
る文書データ要求処理装置２を備え、通信処理装置３か
ら利用される文書データ書き込み手段６と文書データ要
求処理装置から利用される文書データ読み出し手段５を
有した文書データ管理装置４を装備している。文書デー
タ表示装置１は、通信処理装置の動作とは非同期に文書
データ要求処理装置２に対して文書データ読み出し要求
を行なう非同期読み出し機能を備えている。
【０００８】これを更にに詳述すると、図１において、
文書データ表示装置１は表示する文書データをディスク
上に取り出すため、文書データ要求処理装置２に対して
文書データ取り出し開始要求を発行する。この際、文書
データ表示装置１は文書データ要求処理装置２に対して
表示する文書を一意に識別する文書データ番号と文書デ
ータをディスク上に取り出すための文書データファイル
名を通知する。
【０００９】文書データ要求処理装置２は文書データ取
り出し開始要求を通信処理装置３に通知し、制御を文書
データ表示装置１に戻す。要求を受けた通信処理装置３
は通信回線を利用して通信を行い、他のコンピュータに
管理されている文書データを取り出し、取り出した文書
データを文書管理装置４の持つ文書データ書き出し手段
２−６を利用してディスク上に書き出し、文書データフ
ァイル７を作成する。
【００１０】一方、文書データ要求処理装置２から文書
取り出し開始要求への応答を受け取った文書データ表示
装置１は、通信処理装置３の動作とは非同期に文書デー
タ要求処理装置２に対して文書データ読みだし要求を発
行する。この際、文書データ表示装置１は文書データを
取り出すためのバッファとバッファサイズを文書データ
要求処理装置２に対して通知する。文書データ読みだし
要求を受けた文書データ要求処理装置２は、文書データ
管理装置４の持つ文書データ読みだし手段５を利用して
文書データファイルから文書データを読み出す。この
時、文書データ読みだし手段５は要求されたサイズの文
書データが、まだ通信処理装置３により書き込まれてい
ない場合には書き込まれるのを待つ。文書データ読みだ
し手段５により文書データの読みだした後、文書データ
要求処理装置２は文書データ表示装置１に対して文書デ
ータを返却する。文書データ表示装置は返却された文書
データを画面に表示する。

【発明の効果】以上のように、本発明によると通信処理
装置と画面表示装置を非同期に動作させるようにしたの
で、全ての文書データの通信終了を待つこと無く高速な
文書データの画面表示が可能となるという従来にない優
れた文書データ管理システムを提供することができる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 他のコンピュータで管理されている文書
    データを通信回線を介して取り出す通信処理装置と、ユ
    ーザの要求する文書データを画面に表示する文書データ
    表示装置とを有し、この文書データ表示装置からの文書
    データ取り出し要求を処理する文書データ要求処理装置
    を備え、前記通信処理装置から利用される文書データ書
    き込み手段と文書データ要求処理装置から利用される文
    書データ読み出し手段を有した文書データ管理装置を装
    備すると共に、前記文書データ表示装置が、前記通信処
    理装置の動作とは非同期に前記文書データ要求処理装置
    に対して文書データ読み出し要求を行なう非同期読み出
    し機能を備えていることを特徴とした文書データ管理シ
    ステム。
