Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently utilize a film and to reduce a man-hour at a laboratory by improving the shape of the film in a cartridge, enabling the photographing of the identical number of surfaces to be executed by the short film and sticking the leading edge of the film to a short leader as it is without cutting it when the developing processing thereof is executed. CONSTITUTION:The shape of the leading edge part 4f of the photographic film housed in the cartridge is obtained by being cut by right angle in the drawing direction of the photographic film. If possible, the corner parts 4R on both side ends thereof are made round. Then, the whole length of the film made shorter than the conventional one.

2. Description of the Related Art Generally, a photographic film cartridge comprises a spool, a cartridge body, a cartridge cap that supports hubs at both ends of the spool, and a photographic film wound on the spool. The photographic film is not exposed before use. Most of it is in a state that it is wound on a spool in the cartridge body, is fed out of the cartridge body in the camera, is subjected to image exposure, and is rewound in the cartridge body after image exposure. As a cartridge for such a photographic film, a photographic film is wound around a spool made of synthetic resin, which is housed in a metal body. JI with such a structure
The S type is known as a 135 type patrone, and the patrone body is provided with a light shielding member called a teremp at the slit-shaped film drawing port. Then, as shown in FIG. 5, about 40 mm at the leading end of the film from the film drawing port
Is pulled out, and nearly half of the width of the tip portion is cut off in a tongue shape to be thin. Therefore, this tip portion is also referred to as a tongue end portion, and is caught by being caught in the slit of the winding shaft of the current camera so that it can be wound. This 135-type format has a high image quality due to its large screen size, and has been remarkably popularized in recent years in combination with the progress of cameras in response to it.

However, such a portion called a film leading end portion, that is, a tongue end portion, is shown in FIG.
As shown in (b), the long film 4 is formed with the punching margin 4H as a cut-out, and is formed together with the rear end portion 4b.
It is only used by the user when inserting the camera into the slit of the reel of the camera or as the leader part for the camera to automatically insert and wind it, there is an expensive photographic emulsion. Even though it was applied, it was not photographed and it was a completely useless part of a photographic film.

Further, at the time of development, the front end of the film which has been photographed is attached to the short leader so that it can be conveyed in each processing liquid tank of the developing device. However, the front end of the film is properly attached to the short leader. In order to facilitate stable and stable conveyance, the tongue end portion is unbalanced and is cut off by the operator at the developing station. It must be said that this is a laborious, inefficient, and useless configuration.

35 with perforations on both sides
As shown in the plan view of FIG. 3, the end portion 4b of the photographic film 4 having a width of mm has a narrowed width by cutting out both sides, and a locking hole 5 is formed. And such processing is shown in FIG.
As shown in (a), when the lengthwise film is cut to a predetermined length for insertion into a cartridge, punching dust 4d, which is a cut-off portion shown by a hatched portion, and debris of the locking hole 5 are punched out and the tip end The shape of the edge is determined. On the other hand, the spool 1 has a short hub 12 and a long hub 11 at both ends, and a flange 2 inside each of them.
Further, the winding shafts 13 are concentrically arranged inside the flanges, respectively, and the slit hole 3 into which the film end portion 4b is inserted at the center and the guide claw 7 at the upper side of the inner surface of the slit hole 3 and the downward direction. Is provided with two locking claws 6. When the film end portion 4b is inserted into the slit hole 3, the center portion of the film is pressed toward the lower surface of the slit by the upper guide claw 7, whereby the film end portion 4b slides on the back of the locking claw 6. The advance locking hole 5 enters the locking claw 6 to complete the locking of the film 4 on the spool 1.
A film 4 having a predetermined length is wound around the spool 1,
It is housed in the body 21 of the cartridge 20, both ends thereof are covered with the caps 22, and the leading end portion 4f of the film is pulled out by about 10 mm from the cartridge outlet as shown in the perspective view of FIG. Then, it becomes possible to perform winding or unwinding.

First, the user puts both hands in a light-shielding bag in which both hands can be kept in a light-shielded state, opens the camera in the bag, puts the film with the cartridge in it, and pulls out the tip 4f thereof. If you insert it into the slit of the reel of the camera and close the lid of the camera to start the roll-up operation, you will be ready to shoot, and you have been wasting 3 more frames, or 5 frames in total, except the tongue end 4a. Photographic film can be used without waste.

That is, a photographic film containing a patrone in a product state was loaded into the patrone chamber 53 of the camera 50 equipped with the lens 55, and the perforations on both sides of the film front end portion 4f were pulled out and meshed with the teeth 59 of the sprocket 58. In this state, close the lid 52 and start it.
At f, the tunnel portion sandwiched between the side rail 54A of the camera aperture portion 54 and the pressure plate 56 biased by the spring 57 is sent out and inserted into the slit 62 of the winding shaft 61, and the preparation for winding is completed. Therefore, the second frame or 3

Since the tongue-shaped portion is eliminated, a part of this portion can also constitute a normal photographing screen, so that the film length for the same number of photographing screens can be made much shorter than the conventional one. It will be. Of course, it is also possible to set the number of screens to increase with the current film length.

Further, when the film is sent to a developing station and applied to a developing device, when attaching the leading end of the film to the short leader, it is possible to save the trouble of cutting off the tongue end and then sticking the film as in the conventional case, so that it is in a preferable state for operation. It becomes possible to do.

As yet another embodiment, FIG. 4 (b) or FIG.
As shown in the plan view of (d), the rear end portion 4g can also be made flat, and in this case, the rear end portion is locked to the spool 1 with an adhesive tape.

In this case, the number of man-hours of the tape locking process is slightly increased as compared with the non-adhesive paper type process, but the spool is also simplified, so that there is not much difference in the profit and loss results.

The photographic film containing a patrone of the present invention enables photography of the same number of screens with a shorter film than ever before. Then, the expensive silver salt film is not wasted, and the manufacturing cost is reduced. Also, when attaching the film tip to the short leader during development, it is not necessary to cut off the tongue end and flatten the tip as in the past, which simplifies the handling of the film already taken at the developing place and saves man-hours. It can be reduced.
