Abstract
Description
Claims (17)
- 1.石膏コア、および対向する面上に繊維材料の第一および第二カバーシートを 有する石膏ボードであって、前記コアが、 前記第一カバーシートに平行に隣接するが、前記繊維材料の繊維をまったく含ま ない第一層を有し、前記第一層が、比較的少ない空隙および前記コアの中央部分 よりも本質的に大きな密度を有する石膏からなり、前記コアの前記中央部分が、 前記コアの前記中央部分全体に渡って本質的に均一に分布した複数の比較的大き な不連続空隙を有し、 前記空隙が本質的に球形の一様な壁を有することを特徴とする石膏ボード。
- 2.前記コアが前記第二カバーシートに隣接するが、前記繊維材料の繊維をまっ たく含まない第二層を有し、前記第二層が、比較的少ない空隙および前記コアの 中央部分よりも本質的に大きな密度を有する石膏からなることを特徴とする請求 項1の石膏ボード。
- 3.前記コアが前記第一層に隣接する第三層を有し、前記第三層が、コアの中央 部分よりも本質的に大きいが、前記第一層の密度よりは小さな密度を有すること を特徴とする請求項2の石膏ボード。
- 4.前記第一層の厚さが約0.005′′であり、比重が少なくとも0.95で あることを特徴とする請求項1のボード。
- 5.前記第二層の厚さが約0.005′′であり、比重が少なくとも0.95で あることを特徴とする請求項2のボード。
- 6.前記層の比重が少なくとも1.1であることを特徴とする請求項4のボード 。
- 7.前記第二層の比重が少なくとも1.1であることを特徴とする請求項5のボ ード。
- 8.前記第三層の比重が少なくとも0.7であることを特徴とする請求項3のボ ード。
- 9.前記第三層の比重が少なくとも1.0であることを特徴とする請求項3のボ ード。
- 10.前記コアが、前記ボードに切り口を付け、折ることにより形成された平面 の表面積1平方インチあたりの空隙が11,000個以下である空隙密集度を有 することを特徴とする請求項4のボード。
- 11.前記コアが、前記ボードに切り口を付け、折ることにより形成された平面 の表面積1平方インチあたりの空隙が11,000個以下である空隙密集度を有 することを特徴とする請求項5のボード。
- 12.前記コアが、前記ボードに切り口を付け、折ることにより形成された平面 の表面積1平方インチあたりの空隙が7,000個以下である空隙密集度を有す ることを特徴とする請求項4のボード。
- 13.前記コアが、前記ボードに切り口を付け、折ることにより形成された平面 の表面積1平方インチあたりの空隙が7,000個以下である空隙密集度を有す ることを特徴とする請求項5のボード。
- 14.ここに記載する様なボード。
- 15.前記空隙の直径が、従来の製品における代表的な空隙の直径の少なくとも 2倍であることを特徴とする請求項1のボード。
- 16.石膏ボードを製造するための方法であって、空気、水および式 CH3(CH2)xCH2−(OCH2CH2)y−OS03Mで表され、xの 少なくとも90%が6〜8であり、yの平均が0.4〜1.3であり、Mが水溶 性界面活性剤を形成する陽イオンであるあわ立て剤からなるあわを発生させ、前 記あわが少なくとも10lbs/cu.ft.の密度を有し、石膏ボードコアス ラリー配合に必要な水の全量の少なくとも35%をあわ発生工程で加え、前記空 気、水およびあわ立て剤を少なくとも2つの混合工程で混合し、前記の発生した あわをスタッコ、水およびその他の可能な乾燥および含水原料と混合してボード コアスラリーを形成し、前記コアスラリーを第一紙シート上に堆積させ、前記ス ラリーに第二紙シートを付けてボードを形成し、前記ボードを乾燥することを特 徴とする方法。
- 17.ここに記載する様な方法。
