Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture accessories having smooth surface with a hot forging. CONSTITUTION:Plating 2 is applied to the surface of a raw material 1 cut to the prescribed size and the raw material applied with relevant plating is heated to form the accessories with the hot forging. Thereafter, a finish work is executed. The finish work to surface can be executed for a short time without missing the original shape of accessories obtd. with the hot forging.

[Prior Art] In the conventional hot forging method for jewelry, a material processed into a certain shape, such as a cylinder, a square pillar, or an irregularly shaped pillar, is heated to a predetermined temperature by induction heating, etc., and then the material is heated with tweezers. It is set in a mold attached to a press machine and press-molded. After that, finishing work is performed to complete the accessory.

[Problem to be solved by the invention] However, since these materials are exposed to high temperatures during heating and immediately before forging,
The surface undergoes a violent reaction with oxygen in the atmosphere and a large amount of oxide is deposited on the surface. If this is forged as is, it will become a forged product made of raw materials and oxides. These oxides are not evenly distributed on the surface of the forged product, so if the oxides are removed by pickling or the like, the surface of the forged product becomes rough. In order to make this a smooth surface, it must be removed by cutting or grinding. Furthermore, if these removal processes are performed, the shape of the forged product will be distorted.

In the above embodiments, the material was plated by a wet plating method, and the type of plating was chrome plating.
Nickel plating, copper plating, gold plating, palladium plating, rhodium plating, ruthenium plating, etc., or alloy plating of these may be used. Further, although the treated object was a watch case, which is an accessory, it goes without saying that the process can be applied to other accessories such as watch parts, glasses, brooches, necklaces, etc.

[Effects of the Invention] As is clear from the above explanation, the jewelry obtained by the present invention can have a smooth surface by hot forging. The number of quality corrections can be greatly reduced. Furthermore, by reducing the number of these corrections, it is possible to prevent the accessory from losing its original shape.
