Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance productivity by constituting a heat source of a far infrared lamp and providing a shield plate to a flash-off chamber. CONSTITUTION:When aqueous paint is applied in a painting booth 1, a shield plate 6 is changed over to a state opening the front surface of a far infrared lamp 3 and far infrared heating is performed in a flash-off chamber 4 to evaporate the moisture of a film. Subsequently, aqueous or oily paint is subjected to lap-painting in the painting booth 2 of a post-stage and, when oily paint is applied in the painting booth 1 of a front stage by a coating apparatus 12, the shield plate 6 is changed over to a state covering the front surface of the far infrared lamp 3 and a setting process allowing a film to stand at room temp. in the flash-off chamber 4 is performed to evaporate the solvent of the film and, subsequently, aqueous or oily paint is subjected to lap-painting in the painting booth 2 of the post-stage. By this method, the time of each process can be shortened and productivity can be enhanced.

(Prior art) Conventionally, this type of equipment has been disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 52-30170, with a former painting booth for applying water-based paint, and a latter-stage painting booth for applying water-based paint on top of the coating film applied in the painting booth. It is known that a flash-off chamber provided with a heat source for radiant heating is provided between the booth and the flash-off chamber.

On the other hand, when applying oil-based paint over a film of oil-based paint, a setting zone is placed between the first and second painting booths, and the solvent for the oil-based paint applied in the first painting booth is removed. The oil-based paint is evaporated in the setting zone, and then oil-based paint is applied over and over again in the subsequent painting booth.

Here, the heat source in the flash-off chamber is turned on when evaporating the water in the water-based paint applied in the preceding painting booth, and turned off when evaporating the solvent of the oil-based paint applied in the preceding painting booth. As a solution, it is conceivable to use the flash-off chamber also as a setting zone so that water-based paint and oil-based paint can be applied on the same painting line.

However, when the heat source is composed of a far-infrared lamp, the lamp has a structure that heats ceramics etc. on the outer periphery and emits far-infrared rays, so if it is turned on and off as described above,
A waiting time is required until far-infrared radiation starts or stops, and the flash-off process and setting process take a long time, reducing productivity.

(Function) When water-based paint is applied in the previous painting booth, the shield plate is switched to open the front of the heat source to evaporate the moisture in the water-based paint, and when oil-based paint is applied, the shield plate is switched to the state where the front side of the heat source is opened. evaporate the oil-based paint solvent.

Therefore, with the heat source turned on, the shielding plate is switched between covering the front side of the heat source and leaving the front side open.
Since it uses a flash-off process to evaporate water and a setting process to evaporate the solvent, there is no need to wait for far-infrared radiation to start or stop, making the flash-off process and setting process much easier. The time required can be shortened.

[Scope of Claims] 1. A flash-off room equipped with a heat source for radiant heating is arranged between the first-stage painting booth and the second-stage painting booth, in which paint is applied over the coating film applied in the previous painting booth. In the coating apparatus, the heat source is composed of a far-infrared lamp, and a shielding plate is provided in the flash-off chamber so as to be switchable between a state in which the front surface of the heat source is covered and a state in which the front surface of the heat source is open. A painting device characterized by: 2. In a coating equipment comprising a flash-off chamber equipped with a heat source for radiant heating between a first stage painting booth and a second stage painting booth where paint is applied over the coating film applied in the first stage painting booth. , the heat source is constituted by a far-infrared lamp, and the reflector of the heat source is reversible between a shielding state located on the front side of the heat source and an irradiation state located on the back side of the heat source. . 3. The coating apparatus according to claim 1, wherein at least the preceding coating booth of both coating booths is provided with a common coating device for coating water-based paint and oil-based paint.
