After storing it in the connection reinforcing section storage section 3, the fiber connection excess lengths 4 and 4' are wound around the connection excess length storage sections 5 and 5', respectively, and the fiber connection excess lengths 6 and 6' are respectively wound in the connection reinforcement section storage section 7. , 7', the length of the extra length storage parts 7, 7' must be at least twice the allowable curvature R of the fiber, so the total length of the fiber cable storage parts is equal to the total length of these storage parts. As it becomes possible to add the
It also becomes. Furthermore, the conventional optical fiber connection surplus length storage device cannot accurately define the bending diameter of the optical fiber.

At the same time, the fiber connection extra length of the connecting portion is wound around the two opposing support plates, and the distance between the opposing support plates is adjusted to tightly fix the extra length around the entire circumference of the opposing support plates. The present invention provides an optical fiber connection surplus length storage device that is designed to be compressed.

さないようにしている。 To explain this in detail with reference to the drawings, Figure 2 A and B are the front view, Figure 3 is the side view, and Figure 4 is the front view.
The figure is a plan view of the same, and the same reference numerals as in FIG. Made by molding polyethylene, etc. Reference numerals 9 and 9' denote grooved circular arc ends for defining the fiber curvature formed at one end of the opposing support plates 8 and 8'; 10 and 10' are also opposing ends thereof; variable distance, 11, 12,
Reference numerals 11' and 12' denote fixing rods for tightening arranged in parallel on the central axes of the opposing support plates 8 and 8', and 13 and 13' indicate notches provided in the opposing support plates 8 and 8' along their central axes. This allows the opposing support plates 8, 8'
can be fitted into the fixed rods 11, 12, 11', 12' and moved freely inward or outward, thereby expanding and contracting its total length L between the minimum L1 and the maximum L2 . . Therefore, as shown in FIG. 2, after connecting the optical fibers 1 and 1' drawn out from the cables A and B, the remaining length of the optical fiber connection part is wound around the pair of opposing support plates 8 and 8'. Turn it and slack to the extra length 1
4, 14', a pair of opposing support plates 8,
8' is moved outward so that the fiber extra length 4 becomes larger, and the grooved circular arc 9 for defining the fiber radius of the pair of opposing support plates 8, 8' is removed.
Make sure that it is tightly fixed around the entire circumference including 9'. When there are a plurality of optical fibers 1, 1' to be connected, such extra length treatment is applied to each of the plurality of opposing support plates 8, 8' to remove slack in the optical fibers.
After that, cut screws into the ends of the fixed rods 11, 12, 11', 12' and tighten the nuts 11a, 12a (11a', 11a', 12').
12a'), tighten and fix all the opposing support plates at once. Figure 3 is a side view of the opposing support plate 8, and 15 is a shallow fiber storage groove provided around the opposing support plate 8. This prevents the wound fiber from protruding.

る。 FIG. 4 is a plan view of a cross section of a plurality of opposing support plates 8, 8' cut from the center line. 12, 11', and 12' are shown being tightened and fixed. Note that since the length of the extra length of the connecting portion of the fibers to be connected is not necessarily constant, the opposing distances 1 , 2 ,
3 ...k is not constant. Therefore, unevenness is formed on the side surface formed by the curvature-defining grooved circular arcs 9, 9' formed at one end of each pair of opposing support plates 8, 8'.

果がある。 As described above, the fiber connecting portion surplus length storage device of the present invention has a grooved circular arc for defining the optical fiber curvature at one end, and a grooved arc for defining the optical fiber curvature at the other end.
The fiber connection portion is supported in the groove formed on the outer periphery of the pair of support plates, and the fiber connection extra length of the connection portion is wound around the opposing support plate to adjust the facing distance between the opposing support plates. Since the extra length is closely fixed to the entire circumference of the opposing support plate, the optical fiber connection work is easy, the fiber can be stored without sagging, and the curvature applied to the fiber is kept above a certain level. It's easy to do. In addition, the extra length of the optical fiber can be wound two or three times in the groove around the opposing support plate, so the length of the storage section for the extra length of the connection part can be made shorter than that of conventional ones, making it easier to connect the cable. This has the effect of making it smaller.

単にできるという利点がある。 In addition, since each opposing support plate has the same shape, manufacturing costs are reduced, and the number of stacked plates can be set arbitrarily depending on the number of optical fibers to be connected, so excess length can be stored. There is an advantage that the scale of the device can be easily reduced or expanded by changing the number of connections.
