Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a composition for oral cavity containing calcium tertiary phosphate, apatite fluoride, etc., and forming a film on the surface of tooth and repairing unevenness of the surface of tooth and having beautifying effects of tooth and effective to prevention and repair of dental caries and strengthening of dental quality. CONSTITUTION:The composition for oral cavity containing at least one kind selected from a group consisting of mixture of calcium tertiary phosphate [Ca3(PO4)2], calcium quaternary phosphate [Ca4(PO4)2], octa calcium phosphate [Ca8H2(PO4)6.5H2O], apatite fluoride [Ca10(PO4)6F2], apatite carbonate [Ca10(PO4)6CO3] or calcium secondary phosphate [CaHPO4.2H2O] and calcium carbonate and mixture of anhydrous calcium secondary phosphate [CaHPO4.2H2 O] and calcium carbonate and anhydrous calcium secondary phosphate and calcium carbonate. Powder of the above-mentioned active ingredient, liquid or paste like drug obtained by dispersing the powder into a non-aqueous solvent or water soluble film-forming material is dissolved in a solvent and an active ingredient is added thereto and the mixture is kneaded and molded into sheet form and then solvent is evaporated to used in form of sheet.

Toothpaste has conventionally been used as a preparation for whitening teeth. However, the main purpose of tooth brushing is basically to remove foreign substances from the tooth surface, and the teeth whitening effect is not sufficient. In contrast, so-called tooth make-up preparations have recently been commercially available that actively form a film on the tooth surface to increase the whitening effect. This method uses a solvent or the like to extract resin from the tooth surface, but it is difficult to use and requires skill, and there are also problems with the safety of the material.

On the other hand, it prevents and repairs tooth decay by strengthening the tooth structure and promoting remineralization (Hydroxyabatai).
Toothpaste containing (HAP) powder has also been proposed (Japanese Patent Application Laid-open Nos. 55-57514, 56-73014 and 5

MgCj! This method attempts to coat the teeth by dissolving a portion of HAP in the coexistence of HAP and depositing HAP crystals on the tooth surface. However, since HAP is extremely poorly soluble in water, its coating effect cannot be said to be sufficient.
