Abstract

To provide a hat that can be worn by a wide variety of wearers with different head sizes, thereby improving versatility, while eliminating the need for size adjustment before wearing, thereby improving convenience for the wearer.

Description

The present invention relates to a hat with a size adjustment function that corresponds to the wearer's head size (head circumference).

Hats that have a size adjustment function to accommodate the wearer's head size are known.

For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a hat that has no notch on the rear surface of the crown, and has a flat rubber body attached to part of a band-shaped sweatband leather, making the circumference of the sweatband leather variable. The hat is configured so that the circumference of the sweatband leather can be freely adjusted by attaching and detaching one end of the flat rubber body with a hook-and-loop fastener.

In the hat according to the conventional technology described in Patent Document 1, the flat rubber body expands and contracts in the narrow gap between the ends of the sweat-absorbing leather on the rear surface of the crown of the hat, making it possible to adjust the size of the hat to a certain extent.

However, as described in Patent Document 1, if the wearer's head size varies, the wearer must adjust the fastening position of the hook-and-loop fastener to adjust the size of the hat.

In other words, in this hat of the prior art, the length of the stretchable flat elastic portion is short, so the size range that can be automatically adjusted by the flat elastic portion is narrow, and basically the wearer needs to adjust the hook-and-loop fastener before putting it on.

For example, Patent Document 2 discloses a hat in which a notch is formed at the rear end of the crown from a set height position to the lower edge, one end of a stretchable ribbon is attached to the lower left and right side ends of the crown, and the brim has an inner peripheral edge with a perimeter equivalent to the perimeter of the lower edge excluding the gap between the notches in the crown. The left and right rear edges of the brim are continuous almost along the notches in the crown, and are formed so that the gap between them gradually increases toward the outer peripheral edge. For this reason, the gap between the notches in the crown can be adjusted to match the head circumference by bundling the left and right ribbons. At this time, the gap between the left and right rear edges of the brim is also adjusted.

In the hat according to the conventional technology described in Patent Document 2, the wearer can adjust the size of the hat by tying together the left and right ribbons and adjusting the spacing of the notches in the crown to fit the circumference of the head.

As described in Patent Document 2, if the wearer's head sizes are relatively different, the wearer must adjust the position of the ribbons on the left and right sides to adjust the size of the hat.

In other words, with this conventional hat, the wearer basically needs to adjust the position of the ribbons on the left and right sides before putting it on.

For example, Patent Document 3 discloses a hat in which a fastening band that is wrapped around the head and fastened is integral with the main body of the hat (sun visor, etc.), and both ends of the fastening band that is wrapped around the head and fastened are inserted through a fastening tube in opposite directions and pulled out, and are pressurized and overlapped within the fastening tube, allowing the length of the fastening band to be freely adjusted.

In the hat according to the conventional technology described in Patent Document 3, the wearer can adjust the size of the hat by adjusting the length of the fastening band to fit the wearer's head circumference.

As described in Patent Document 3, if the wearer's head size varies, the wearer must adjust the size of the hat in advance by adjusting the length of the tightening band using the tightening tube.

In other words, with this conventional hat, the wearer basically needs to adjust the length of the tightening band using the tightening tube before putting it on.

As described above, the hats of the above-mentioned conventional technologies allow for size adjustment, but the wearer must basically adjust the size of the hat before wearing it, which reduces the wearer's convenience.

When the wearer puts on the hat 100, the ring-shaped elastic member S stretches in the lateral direction in a range (the rear region SR of the ring-shaped elastic member S) that is wider than the lateral gap (distance) X between the first end K1 and the second end K2 of the waist K.

In this way, in the hat 100 according to this embodiment, the range in which the ring-shaped elastic member (flat rubber body) S can stretch is set to be wide, and the range in which the ring-shaped elastic member S can stretch is wider than the flat rubber portion of the conventional hat as described in the above-mentioned cited reference 1, so that the range of applicable hat sizes can be widened.

Furthermore, as shown in, for example, Figures 5A and 5B described above, the ring-shaped elastic member S adheres closely to the outer circumference (outer side) of the waist region K due to the elasticity of the ring-shaped elastic member S.

As a result, the inner circumference (inner side) of the waist area K fits the circumference of the wearer's head due to the elasticity of the ring-shaped elastic member S.

In this way, the size adjustment function of the hat 100 adjusts steplessly based on the elasticity of the ring-shaped elastic member S in accordance with the size of the head circumference of the wearer.

On the other hand, the accordion-like belt around the waist of the cap in the conventional technology mentioned above is difficult to protect from fading due to sunlight, etc., and difficult to replace when it does fade, which is one of the major factors that mar the cap's appearance.

However, the ring-shaped elastic member S of the hat 100 in this embodiment is configured to be detachable from, for example, the waist region K.

More specifically, by removing the first ear button B1 and the second ear button B2 from the waist part K, the ring-shaped elastic member S is no longer fixed to the waist part K. This allows the ring-shaped elastic member S to be removed from the waist part K (the hat 100).

This allows the removed ring-shaped expandable member S to be washed separately or replaced with a new ring-shaped expandable member S.

Then, the cleaned ring-shaped expandable member S or a new ring-shaped expandable member S is attached to a predetermined position on the waist part K, guided by the guide part G, and the ring-shaped expandable member S is fixed to the waist part K by the first ear button B1 and the second ear button B2, so that the appearance of the hat 100 can be maintained in a clean condition.

In addition, because the ring-shaped expandable member S can be easily attached to the hat 100, the color and design of the ring-shaped expandable member S on the hat 100 can be changed to suit the customer's wishes.

Next, an example of the function of the hat 100 of this embodiment having the above-mentioned configuration will be described with reference to the drawings.

Here, FIG. 8 is a diagram showing an example of the appearance (rear surface) of the hat 100 shown in FIG. 1 when the size has been adjusted by the size adjustment function. For example, as shown in Figures 8, 9A, and 9B, when the size of the head circumference of the wearer of the hat 100 is larger than the size of the hat 100 in a normal state in which the area between the first end K1 and the second end K2 of the waist K is closed, the area between the first end K1 and the second end K2 of the waist K will be open at the rear of the hat 100.

As a result, when the wearer wears the hat 100, the horizontal spacing (distance) X between the first end K1 and the second end K2 of the waist K at the rear of the hat 100 changes according to the size of the wearer's head circumference.

In other words, when the wearer puts on the hat 100, the ring-shaped elastic member S stretches in the horizontal direction over a range that is wider than the horizontal gap (distance) X between the first end K1 and the second end K2 of the waist K.

In this way, in the hat 100 according to this embodiment, the range (region SR) in which the elastic member (flat rubber body) S stretches is set wide, and the range in which the ring-shaped elastic member S can stretch is wider than the flat rubber portion of the conventional hat as described in the above-mentioned cited reference 1, so that a wider range of applicable hat sizes can be achieved.

The ring-shaped elastic member S of the hat 100 fits closely to the outer periphery (outer side) of the waist K due to the elasticity of the ring-shaped elastic member S.

As a result, the inner circumference (inner side) of the waist area K fits to the circumference of the wearer's head due to the elasticity of the ring-shaped elastic member S.

In this way, the size adjustment function of the hat 100 adjusts steplessly based on the elasticity of the ring-shaped elastic member S in accordance with the size of the head circumference of the wearer.

For example, as shown in FIG. 8, a slit Y may be formed in the gusset portion M at a portion that connects the first end K1 and the second end K2 of the waist portion K. By opening the slit Y, the distance X between the first end K1 and the second end K2 of the waist portion K can be made wider.

In this way, the function of the hat 100 of this embodiment improves versatility by allowing it to be worn by a wider range of different wearers with different head sizes, while eliminating the need to adjust the size before wearing it, improving convenience for the wearer.

In particular, the hat 100 according to this embodiment is more versatile for different head sizes, eliminating the need to manufacture and stock hats of different sizes, which saves space and improves inventory efficiency.

As described above, the ring-shaped elastic member S of the hat 100 according to this embodiment is configured to be detachable from, for example, the waist region K.

More specifically, by removing the first ear button B1 and the second ear button B2 from the waist part K, the ring-shaped elastic member S is no longer fixed to the waist part K. This allows the ring-shaped elastic member S to be removed from the waist part K (the hat 100).

This allows the removed ring-shaped expandable member S to be washed separately or replaced with a new ring-shaped expandable member S.

Then, the cleaned ring-shaped expandable member S or a new ring-shaped expandable member S is attached to a predetermined position on the waist part K, guided by the guide part G, and the ring-shaped expandable member S is fixed to the waist part K by the first ear button B1 and the second ear button B2, so that the appearance of the hat 100 can be maintained in a clean condition.

In addition, because the ring-shaped expandable member S can be easily attached to the hat 100, the color and design of the ring-shaped expandable member S on the hat 100 can be changed to suit the customer's wishes.

As shown in Figures 12A, 12B, and 12C, the hat 100 of the fourth modified example may further include a decorative member W arranged to cover the area including the area between the first end K1 and the second end K2 of the waist region K from the outer periphery.

This decorative member W may have a highly decorative design, such as embroidery, printed material, or a material or shape that includes a design different from that of the adjustment mechanism 10.

This decorative member W may, for example, include a main body portion W1, a locking portion W2, and a fixing portion W3, as shown in Figures 12A, 12B, and 12C.

The fixing part W3 is disposed on the back surface W1b of the main body part W1. This fixing part W3 is configured to fix the main body part W1 and the other end side W2b of the locking part W2.

For example, as shown in Figures 13A and 13B, the size adjustment of the adjustment mechanism 10 can hide the gap between the first end K and the second end K2 of the waist K, and the decorative member W itself can be made highly aesthetic, making the hat 100 fashionable.

Furthermore, as described above, the size adjustment function of the hat 100 according to the third modified example is a stepless adjustment based on the elasticity of the ring-shaped elastic member S that constitutes the adjustment mechanism 10, in accordance with the size of the head circumference of the wearer.

The hat according to claim 17, characterized in that the size adjustment function of the hat is adapted to adjust steplessly based on the elasticity of the ring-shaped elastic member in accordance with the size of the head circumference of the wearer's head.
