Description
まず、最終的な製品となる焼結含油軸受8の材料となる原料粉末を用意し、これを金型プレス成形により所定の形状に圧縮成形する。具体的には、図示は省略するが、ダイと、ダイの孔内に挿入配置されるコアピンと、ダイとコアピンとの間に配設され、ダイに対して昇降可能に構成された下パンチ、および、ダイと下パンチの何れに対しても相対変位(昇降)可能に構成された上パンチとで構成される成形金型を用いて原料粉末の圧縮成形を行う。この場合、ダイの内周面とコアピンの外周面、および、下パンチの上端面とで区画形成される空間に原料粉末を充填し、下パンチを固定した状態で上パンチを下降させ、充填状態の原料粉末を軸方向に加圧する。そして、加圧しながら所定の位置まで上パンチを下降させ、原料粉末を所定の軸方向寸法にまで圧縮することで、圧粉体が成形される。この際、圧粉体の軸方向寸法は、上パンチの下端面と、下パンチの上端面との距離、より具体的には上パンチの下死点を、目標とすべき軸方向寸法(より厳密には、この後の焼結処理、及び各種サイジングによる寸法変化を加味して設定)に応じて制御することで、適切な範囲に設定可能となる。
上述のようにして、圧粉体を得た後、この圧粉体を原料粉末の種類(主成分の金属の融点)に応じた温度で焼結することにより、焼結体を得る。
そして、焼結体に対して寸法サイジングを施して、焼結体の外径寸法や内径寸法、及び軸方向寸法を最終製品に準じた寸法に矯正すると共に、内周面8aの表面開孔率を、動圧軸受として好適な割合(例えば上述した数値範囲:2~15%)に調整する。この段階では、焼結体の内周面8aに所定の動圧溝8a1配列領域A1,A2は未だ形成されてない。同様に、図示は省略するが、焼結体の上端面8bに所定の動圧溝8b1配列領域は未だ形成されていない。
上記一連の工程を経て得られた焼結体に対して所定の動圧溝サイジングを施すことで、焼結体の内周面8aに動圧溝8a1配列領域A1,A2を成形する。ここで使用する成形装置は、図示は省略するが、焼結体の圧入穴を有するダイと、ダイの圧入穴に挿入可能に配置されるサイジングピンと、ダイとサイジングピンとの間に配設され、ダイに対して相対的に昇降可能に構成された下パンチ、および、ダイと下パンチの何れに対しても昇降可能に構成された上パンチとを有する。この場合、ダイの圧入穴の内径寸法は、サイジングすべき焼結体の圧入代に応じて適宜設定される。また、サイジングピンの外周面には、成形すべき内周面8aの動圧溝配列領域A1,A2(図3)に対応する形状の成形型が設けられると共に、上パンチの下端面には、成形すべき上端面8bの動圧溝8b1配列領域(図4)に対応する形状の成形型が設けられる。
以上のようにして得た焼結体の内部空孔に潤滑流体としての潤滑油を含浸させることで、焼結含油軸受8が完成する。

Claims (8)
- 金属粉末を筒状に圧縮成形して圧粉体を形成し、形成した前記圧粉体を焼結して得られる焼結金属製の軸受であって、
内部空孔に潤滑流体が含浸されると共に、内周面にラジアル動圧発生部が形成される焼結含油軸受において、
軸方向寸法Lが4.8mm以下で、
厚み寸法tが0.5mm以上でかつ1.5mm以下であって、
外径寸法D2に対する前記軸方向寸法Lの比L/D2が、0.24以上でかつ0.6以下で、
軸方向一方側の端面にスラスト動圧発生部が形成され、軸方向他方側の端面は平坦な形状をなすことを特徴とする焼結含油軸受。 - 密度比が86%以上でかつ92%以下である請求項1に記載の焼結含油軸受。
- 内径寸法D1に対する前記外径寸法D2の比D2/D1が、1.5以上でかつ3.0以下である請求項1又は2に記載の焼結含油軸受。
- 内径寸法D1が1.5mm以上でかつ2.0mm以下である請求項1~3の何れか一項に記載の焼結含油軸受。
- 金属粉末を筒状に圧縮成形して圧粉体を形成し、形成した前記圧粉体を焼結して得られる焼結金属製の軸受であって、内部空孔に潤滑流体が含浸されると共に、内周面にラジアル動圧発生部が形成される焼結含油軸受において、軸方向寸法Lが4.8mm以下で、厚み寸法tが0.5mm以上でかつ1.5mm以下であって、外径寸法D2に対する前記軸方向寸法Lの比L/D2が、0.24以上でかつ0.6以下である焼結含油軸受と、
前記焼結含油軸受が内周に固定されるハウジングと、
前記焼結含油軸受の内周に挿入される軸部を有する回転体と、
前記ラジアル動圧発生部の動圧作用により、前記焼結含油軸受の内周面と前記軸部の外周面との間のラジアル軸受隙間に形成される前記潤滑流体の膜で前記軸部をラジアル方向に非接触支持するラジアル軸受部と、
スラスト方向で向かい合う前記回転体の軸方向他方側の端面と前記焼結含油軸受の軸方向一方側の端面との間のスラスト軸受隙間に形成される前記潤滑流体の膜で前記軸部をスラスト方向に非接触支持する第一スラスト軸受部と
を備えた流体動圧軸受装置。 - 前記回転体としてのハブ部の円盤部とスラスト方向で向かい合う前記焼結含油軸受の軸方向一方側の端面にスラスト動圧発生部が設けられている請求項5に記載の流体動圧軸受装置。
- 前記軸部の軸方向他方側の端部を、前記ハウジングの軸方向一方側の端面でスラスト方向に接触支持する第二スラスト軸受部をさらに備えた請求項5に記載の流体動圧軸受装置。
- 請求項1~7の何れか一項に記載の流体動圧軸受装置を備えたモータ。
