Description
まず、検査対象となるフィルム型電池100について説明する。図1は、フィルム型電池100を模式的に示す一部破断の平面図である。フィルム型電池100は、フィルム外装体10と、電極体20と、正極端子32と、負極端子34と、電解液(図示せず)と、を備える。フィルム型電池100は、ここではリチウムイオン二次電池である。正極端子32および負極端子34は、端子の一例である。なお、以下の説明において、図面中の符号X、Y、Zは、フィルム型電池100の短辺方向、短辺方向と直交する長辺方向、厚み方向を、それぞれ表すものとする。長辺方向は、正極端子32および負極端子34が延出された方向の一例である。ただし、これらは説明の便宜上の方向に過ぎず、フィルム型電池100の配置形態を何ら限定するものではない。
次に、フィルム型電池100の検査装置200について説明する。図2は、検査装置200の構成を示す模式図である。検査装置200は、ヒートシール後のフィルム型電池100について、ヒートシール部16の所定の検出範囲におけるシール不良個所(部分的な欠損)を検出する装置である。図2に示す検査装置200は、温度計測装置210と、厚み計測装置220と、表示装置230と、制御装置240と、を備えている。ただし、他の実施形態において、厚み計測装置220および/または表示装置230は、省略することもできる。以下、各構成要素について説明する。
次に、フィルム型電池100の製造方法について説明する。図3は製造方法の一例を示すフローチャートである。図3の製造方法は、シール工程(ステップS10)と、検査工程(ステップS20)と、を包含する。検査工程(ステップS20)は、検査装置200を用いたフィルム型電池100の検査方法の一例である。検査工程(ステップS20)は、温度計測工程(ステップS21)と、第1判定工程(ステップS22)と、厚み計測工程(ステップS24)と、第2判定工程(ステップS25)と、表示工程(ステップS23、ステップS26、ステップS27)と、を包含する。ただし、他の実施形態において、このうちの一部(例えばステップS24、S25)を省略することもできる。また、温度計測工程および第1判定工程よりも前に、厚み計測工程および第2判定工程を行うこともできる。さらに、任意の段階において、他の処理を包含することもできる。

Claims (5)
- 電極体と、前記電極体を内部に収容し、周縁にヒートシール部を有するフィルム外装体と、を備えるフィルム型電池の検査装置であって、
前記ヒートシール部の温度分布を計測する温度計測装置と、
前記フィルム外装体に前記ヒートシール部が形成された後、所定の時間内に前記温度計測装置を制御し、計測した前記温度分布に基づいて、シール不良個所の有無を判定する第1判定部と、を備え、
前記第1判定部は、前記所定の時間内に、第1の時間経過後の温度分布と、前記第1の時間よりも長い第2の時間経過後の温度分布とを取得して、単位時間あたりの温度変化量を算出し、前記温度変化量に基づいて前記シール不良個所の有無を判定するように構成されている、検査装置。 - 前記ヒートシール部の厚み分布を計測する厚み計測装置と、
前記フィルム外装体に前記ヒートシール部が形成された後、前記厚み計測装置を制御し、計測した前記厚み分布に基づいて、シール不良個所の有無を判定する第2判定部と、をさらに備える、
請求項1に記載の検査装置。 - 前記フィルム型電池は、
一端が前記フィルム外装体の内部で前記電極体に電気的に接続され、他端が前記フィルム外装体の外部に延出された端子と、
前記端子の前記フィルム外装体と対向する側の面に設けられ、前記フィルム外装体に溶着されているシーラントフィルムと、を備え、
前記ヒートシール部は、
前記フィルム外装体と前記シーラントフィルムとがヒートシールされた第1シール部と、
前記フィルム外装体同士がヒートシールされた第2シール部と、
を有し、
前記第1判定部は、前記第1シール部と前記第2シール部とを異なる判定基準で判定するように構成されている、
請求項1または2に記載の検査装置。 - 前記第1判定部は、前記温度計測装置を制御して、少なくとも前記第1シール部の前記温度分布を取得するように構成されている、
請求項3に記載の検査装置。 - 前記ヒートシール部を形成した後、請求項1から4のいずれか1つに記載の検査装置を用いて前記ヒートシール部を検査する工程を含む、フィルム型電池の製造方法。
