Description
i)およそ25重量%~およそ95重量%の球状軟磁性粒子が非磁性材料中に分散した複合材で構成された軟磁性板(x31)であり、重量百分率が当該軟磁性板(x31)の総重量に基づき、1つ又は複数のボイド(V)を含む、軟磁性板(x31)と、
ii)前記1つ又は複数のボイド(V)内に配設され、及び/又は、前記1つ又は複数のボイド(V)に面した1つ又は複数の双極子磁石(x32-a)と、
を備えた、磁気アセンブリ(x30)を提供することによって実現される。
a)コーティング層(x10)を基板(x20)上に形成するために、i)血小板状磁性又は磁化可能顔料粒子及びii)バインダ材料を含むコーティング組成物を前記基板(x20)表面に塗布するステップであり、前記コーティング組成物が第1の液体状態である、ステップと、
b)本明細書に記載の磁気アセンブリ(x30)の磁界にコーティング層(x10)を曝露するステップと、
c)血小板状磁性又は磁化可能顔料粒子をそれぞれの選ばれた位置及び配向に固定するために、コーティング組成物を固化させて第2の状態とするステップと、
を含む、プロセスを記載する。
[024]以下の定義を用いることによって、本明細書及び特許請求の範囲に記載の用語の意味を解釈するものとする。
a)コーティング層(x10)を基板(x20)上に形成するために、本明細書に記載の血小板状磁性又は磁化可能顔料粒子及びバインダ材料を含むコーティング組成物を前記基板(x20)表面に塗布するステップであり、前記コーティング組成物が第1の液体状態である、ステップと、
b)本明細書に記載の磁気アセンブリ(x30)の磁界にコーティング層(x10)を曝露するステップと、
c)血小板状磁性又は磁化可能顔料粒子をそれぞれの選ばれた位置及び配向に固定するために、コーティング組成物を固化させて第2の状態とするステップと、
を含む、プロセスをさらに提供する。
[0154]図7A~図7Cから図15A~図15Cに示す磁気アセンブリ(x30)を独立して使用することにより、表1に記載のUV硬化性スクリーン印刷インクで造られたコーティング層(x10)における血小板状光学可変磁性顔料粒子を配向させ、図7D~図15Dに示す光学効果層(OEL)を生成した。
[0159]上述のようにUV硬化性スクリーン印刷インクを適用するとともに、コーティング層(x10)を有する基板(x20)を磁気アセンブリ(x30)上に配置して血小板状光学可変磁性顔料粒子を機械的に配向させた後(図7A~図15A参照)、磁気配向ステップと一部同時に、PhoseonのUV-LEDランプ(Type FireFlex 50×75mm、395nm、8W/cm2)を用いてコーティング層(x10)をUV硬化させることにより、磁気配向した血小板状光学可変磁性顔料粒子を固定/停止した。
光源:150W石英ハロゲン光ファイバ(Dolan-JennerのFiber-lite DC-950)(照射角度は10°w.r.t.(基板に垂直))、
1.3MPカメラ:PixeLINKのカラーカメラ(PL-B7420)(USBインターフェース付き)、
対物レンズ:0.19×テレセントリックレンズ、
フリーのソフトウェア(Fiji)を用いてカラー画像を白黒画像に変換、
といったセットアップによって撮影した。
[0161]図7A~図7Dに示すように、磁気アセンブリ(730)を使用して、基板(720)上のコーティング層(710)の血小板状光学可変磁性顔料粒子の少なくとも一部を配向させることにより、OELが得られた。
[0166]図8A~図8Dに示すように、磁気アセンブリ(830)を使用して、基板(820)上のコーティング層(810)の血小板状光学可変磁性顔料粒子の少なくとも一部を配向させることにより、OELが得られた。
[0171]図9A~図9Cに示すように、磁気アセンブリ(930)を使用して、基板(920)上のコーティング層(910)の血小板状光学可変磁性顔料粒子の少なくとも一部を配向させることにより、ループを示すOELが得られた。
[0176]図10A~図10Cに示すように、磁気アセンブリ(1030)を使用して、基板(1020)上のコーティング層(1010)の血小板状光学可変磁性顔料粒子の少なくとも一部を配向させることにより、OELが得られた。
[0182]図11A~図11Cに示すように、磁気アセンブリ(1130)を使用して、基板(1120)上のコーティング層(1110)の血小板状光学可変磁性顔料粒子の少なくとも一部を配向させることにより、OELが得られた。

[0202]図15A~図15Cに示すように、磁気アセンブリ(1530)を使用して、基板(1520)上のコーティング層(1510)の血小板状光学可変磁性顔料粒子の少なくとも一部を配向させることにより、OELが得られた。
[0207]図16A~図16Dに示すように、磁気アセンブリ(1630)を使用して、基板(1620)上のコーティング層(1610)の血小板状光学可変磁性顔料粒子の少なくとも一部を配向させることにより、OELが得られた。
[0212]図17A~図17Dに示すように、磁気アセンブリ(1730)を使用して、基板(1720)上のコーティング層(1710)の血小板状光学可変磁性顔料粒子の少なくとも一部を配向させることにより、OELが得られた。
Claims (14)
- 転写装置(TD)に搭載された磁気アセンブリ(x30)であって、
i)25重量%~95重量%の球状軟磁性粒子が非磁性材料中に分散した複合材で構成された軟磁性板(x31)であり、重量百分率が前記軟磁性板(x31)の総重量に基づき、1つ又は複数のボイド(V)を含む、軟磁性板(x31)と、
ii)1つ又は複数の双極子磁石(x32-a)と前記軟磁性板(x31)との間に隙間が形成されるように前記1つ又は複数のボイド(V)内に配設され、及び/又は、前記1つ又は複数のボイド(V)に面した1つ又は複数の双極子磁石(x32-a)と、
を備えた、磁気アセンブリ(x30)。 - 前記磁気アセンブリ(x30)が、回転磁気シリンダである転写装置に搭載されたホルダー中に配設され、前記軟磁性板(x31)が、前記回転磁気シリンダの湾曲表面に適合した湾曲表面を有する、請求項1に記載の磁気アセンブリ(x30)。
- 前記1つ又は複数の双極子磁石(x32-a)がそれぞれ、前記軟磁性板(x31)表面と実質的に垂直な磁気軸を有し、前記1つ又は複数の双極子磁石(x32-a)がすべて、同じ磁場方向を有する、請求項1又は2に記載の磁気アセンブリ(x30)。
- 前記磁気アセンブリ(x30)が、2つの双極子磁石(x32-b)の一対又は複数対をさらに備え、前記双極子磁石(x32-b)が、前記軟磁性板(x31)の下方に配設されるとともに、前記1つ又は複数のボイド(V)から離隔した、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の磁気アセンブリ(x30)。
- 前記一対又は複数対の前記双極子磁石(x32-b)がそれぞれ、前記軟磁性板(x31)表面と実質的に垂直な磁気軸を有し、前記一対又は複数対の各対が、同じ磁場方向又は反対の磁場方向を有する2つの双極子磁石(x32-b)を有する、請求項4に記載の磁気アセンブリ(x30)。
- 転写装置(TD)に搭載された磁気アセンブリ(x30)であって、
i)25重量%~95重量%の球状軟磁性粒子が非磁性材料中に分散した複合材で構成された軟磁性板(x31)であり、重量百分率が前記軟磁性板(x31)の総重量に基づき、1つ又は複数のボイド(V)を含む、軟磁性板(x31)と、
ii)前記1つ又は複数のボイド(V)内に配設され、及び/又は、前記1つ又は複数のボイド(V)に面した1つ又は複数の双極子磁石(x32-a)と、
を備え、
前記磁気アセンブリ(x30)が、前記軟磁性板(x31)表面と実質的に平行な磁気軸を有する1つの双極子磁石(x32-a)を備え、前記双極子磁石(x32-a)が、前記1つ又は複数のボイド(V)内に配設されるか、又は、前記1つ又は複数のボイド(V)及び2つの双極子磁石(x32-b)の一対又は複数対に面しており、前記双極子磁石(x32-b)が、前記軟磁性板(x31)の下方に配設されるとともに、前記1つ又は複数のボイド(V)から離隔した、磁気アセンブリ(x30)。 - 前記2つの双極子磁石(x32-b)の一対又は複数対のうちの2つの双極子磁石(x32-b)の側面が、前記1つ又は複数のボイド(V)の外部表面と同一平面である、請求項4~6のいずれか一項に記載の磁気アセンブリ(x30)。
- 前記軟磁性板(x31)のポリマーマトリクスが、ポリアミド、コポリアミド、ポリフタルイミド、ポリオレフィン、ポリエステル、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、ポリアクリレート、ポリメタクリレート、ポリイミド、ポリエーテルイミド、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン、ポリアリルエーテルケトン、ポリフェニレンスルファイド、液晶ポリマー、ポリカーボネート、及びこれらの混合物から成る群から選択される1つ又は複数の熱可塑性材料、又は、エポキシ樹脂、フェノール樹脂、ポリイミド樹脂、シリコン樹脂、及びこれらの混合物から成る群から選択される1つ又は複数の熱硬化性材料を含むか、又は、これらから成り、前記球状軟磁性粒子が、カルボニル鉄、カルボニルニッケル、コバルト、及びこれらの組合せから成る群から選択され、0.5μm~100μmのd50を有する、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の磁気アセンブリ(x30)。
- 前記軟磁性板(x31)が、少なくとも0.5mmの厚さを有する、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の磁気アセンブリ(x30)。
- 転写装置(TD)と、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の複数の磁気アセンブリ(x30)のうちの少なくとも1つとを備え、前記転写装置(TD)が、その上に搭載された請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の複数の磁気アセンブリ(x30)のうちの少なくとも1つを備える、印刷装置。
- 1つ又は複数のしるしを示す光学効果層(OEL)を基板(x20)上に生成するためのプロセスであって、
a)コーティング層(x10)を基板(x20)上に形成するために、i)血小板状磁性又は磁化可能顔料粒子及びii)バインダ材料を含むコーティング組成物を前記基板(x20)表面に塗布するステップであり、前記コーティング組成物が第1の液体状態である、ステップと、
b)請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の磁気アセンブリ(x30)の磁界に前記コーティング層(x10)を曝露するステップと、
c)前記血小板状磁性又は磁化可能顔料粒子をそれぞれの選ばれた位置及び配向に固定するために、前記コーティング組成物を固化させて第2の状態とするステップと、
を含む、プロセス。 - 前記血小板状磁性又は磁化可能顔料粒子が、血小板状磁性薄膜干渉顔料粒子、血小板状磁性コレステリック液晶顔料粒子、磁性材料を含む血小板状干渉被覆顔料粒子、及びこれらの2つ以上の混合物から成る群から選択される血小板状光学可変磁性又は磁化可能顔料粒子である、請求項11に記載のプロセス。
- 前記血小板状磁性又は磁化可能顔料粒子の少なくとも一部を2軸配向させるために、前記コーティング層(x10)を装置の動的な磁界に曝露するステップであり、ステップb)の前又はステップb)と同時に、かつステップc)の前に発生する、ステップをさらに含む、請求項11又は12に記載のプロセス。
- セキュリティ文書又は装飾要素又は装飾物体を製造する方法であって、
a)セキュリティ文書又は装飾要素又は装飾物体を用意するステップと、
b)前記セキュリティ文書又は装飾要素又は装飾物体に含まれるように、請求項11~13のいずれか一項に記載のプロセスに従って、光学効果層を用意するステップと、
を含む、方法。
