Description
複数のシールリップは、締結溝の軸方向の中心位置に関して対称に形成され、互いの高さが同一に形成されている。これにより、複数のシールリップによる面圧を均一に近づけることができる。
請求項4記載のブーツによれば、突起部の高さがシールリップの高さの40%~85%に設定される。これにより、大径筒部へのアウターケースの挿入荷重を突起部とシールリップとで効率よく分散させることができるので、請求項1から3のいずれかの効果に加え、アウターケースの挿入荷重の最大値をより低減できる。

Claims (4)
- 第1伝達軸のアウターケースに第2伝達軸を嵌め込んだ等速ジョイントに装着され、帯状の締結部材で外周面を締め付けて前記等速ジョイントに締結固定されると共に、弾性体から構成されるブーツであって、
前記アウターケースが挿入される大径筒部と、
前記第2伝達軸に取り付けられる小径筒部と、
前記大径筒部および前記小径筒部を互いに連結すると共に前記大径筒部の軸方向に伸縮可能な蛇腹部とを備え、
前記大径筒部は、前記大径筒部の外周面を全周に亘り凹ませて前記締結部材が嵌まる締結溝と、
前記蛇腹部が連結される部位とは前記軸方向の反対側に開口して前記アウターケースが挿入される開口端部と、
前記締結溝を径方向内側に投影した位置の前記大径筒部の内周面から突出して全周に亘って連続する複数の環状のシールリップと、
前記シールリップよりも前記開口端部側の前記内周面から突出して全周に亘って連続する突起部とを備え、
前記突起部の高さは、前記シールリップの高さよりも小さく設定され、
複数の前記シールリップは、前記締結溝の前記軸方向の中心位置に関して対称に形成され、互いの高さが同一に形成され、
前記シールリップと前記突起部とは、前記軸方向に離隔して配置され、
前記大径筒部の軸心を含む断面において、前記シールリップと前記突起部との間の前記内周面までの前記軸心からの距離と、前記シールリップの前記蛇腹部側に連なる部位の前記内周面までの前記軸心からの距離とが同一に設定されていることを特徴とするブーツ。 - 前記大径筒部の軸心を含む断面において、複数の前記シールリップの間における前記内周面までの前記軸心からの距離と、前記シールリップと前記突起部との間の前記内周面までの前記軸心からの距離とが同一に設定されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のブーツ。
- 前記大径筒部の軸心を含む断面において、最も前記蛇腹部側の前記シールリップよりも前記蛇腹部側の前記内周面は、前記締結溝の径方向内側の全域で前記軸心と平行であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のブーツ。
- 前記突起部の高さは、前記シールリップの高さの40%~85%に設定されることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のブーツ。
