図面を参照して、本発明の第1の実施形態に係る光学構造体について説明する。以下では、光学構造体の構造、光学構造体が含む反射セグメントの構造、および光学構造体の機能について順に説明する。

上述した光学構造体10、100を製造する方法は、凹凸構造層を形成する工程と、凹凸構造層の表面に反射層を形成する工程とを含む。凹凸構造層を形成する工程は、原版から凹凸構造層を複製工程等とできる。
なお、上述した本発明の実施形態は、以下のように変更して実施することもできる。
反射セグメント31、32の形状は、上述した多角形状に限らず、例えば円形状、または、楕円形状等の曲線によって区画される形状とすることもできる。また、半円形状、または、半楕円形状等の曲線と直線とによって区画される形状とすることもできる。また、複数の反射セグメント31、32には、多角形状の輪郭の反射セグメントに加えて、曲線によって区画される輪郭の反射セグメントと、曲線と直線とによって区画される輪郭の反射セグメントとの一方または両方を含めることができる。また、複数の反射セグメント31、32は、曲線によって区画される輪郭の反射セグメントと、曲線と直線とによって区画される輪郭の反射セグメントとの両方とすることもできる。
各反射セグメント31、32において、各反射ミラー41、42の高さHは、他の全ての反射ミラー41、42の高さと等しくなくてもよい。こうした構造であっても、各反射セグメント31、32が1つずつのイメージを形成し、光学構造体10、100は、複数の画像によって光学構造体10、100に固有のモチーフ21、22のイメージを観察方向に表示できればよい。

前記光学構造体が傾けられた場合、前記有孔反射セグメント上を移動するグレアの動きが視覚的に連続して見える、光学構造体。 - 前記フレームモチーフを構成する前記複数の有孔反射セグメントにおける、隣接する各有孔反射セグメント間の傾斜角の差の平均が0度よりも大きく、10度以下である、請求項1に記載の光学構造体。
- 前記有孔反射セグメントが、前記第1の反射ミラーによって複数の線形状に形成されている、請求項1または2に記載の光学構造体。
- 前記線形状の幅が100μm以上である、請求項3に記載の光学構造体。
- 2つの線形状が互いに平行に形成され、前記平行に形成された線形状のうち、隣接する線形状間の離間距離が100μm以上、1000μm以下である、請求項3または4に記載の光学構造体。
- 前記第1の反射ミラーの前記傾斜角、方位角の一方または両方を、前記フレームイメージの元データにおける、前記第1の反射ミラーが有する反射面に対応する部位における光の反射方向に応じて決定する、請求項1乃至5のうち何れか1項に記載の光学構造体。
- 前記開口部を囲う前記有孔反射セグメントにおける、前記開口部の面積割合は、10%以上、80%以下である、請求項1乃至6のうち何れか1項に記載の光学構造体。
- 前記開口部の面積割合を、該開口部を囲う有孔反射セグメントの前記第1の反射ミラーの傾斜角に基づいて決定する、請求項1乃至7のうち何れか1項に記載の光学構造体。
- 前記開口部の大きさを、該開口部を囲う有孔反射セグメントの前記第1の反射ミラーの傾斜角に基づいて決定する、請求項1乃至7のうち何れか1項に記載の光学構造体。
- 前記開口部の大きさを、該開口部を囲う有孔反射セグメントの表示するフレームイメージの面の大きさに追従させる、請求項1乃至7のうち何れか1項に記載の光学構造体。
- 複数の前記開口部の大きさを、それぞれ個別に設定する、請求項1乃至7のうち何れか1項に記載の光学構造体。
- 立体像を表示する多面体モチーフを構成する複数の多面体反射セグメントを、前記開口部の内部に配置する、請求項1乃至11のうち何れか1項に記載の光学構造体。
- 前記各多面体反射セグメントはそれぞれ、前記構造形成面に対する一様な傾斜角の1つまたは複数の反射層を備えた第2の反射ミラーを備え、
前記第2の反射ミラーの前記傾斜角は、隣接する前記複数の多面体反射セグメントにわたって徐々に変化するように、前記隣接する前記多面体反射セグメント同士で異なる、請求項12に記載の光学構造体。 - 前記複数の有孔反射セグメントにおける、隣接する前記有孔反射セグメント同士の傾斜角の差の平均よりも、前記複数の多面体反射セグメントにおける、隣接する前記多面体反射セグメント同士の傾斜角の差の平均の方が大きい、請求項13に記載の光学構造体。
