Description
[概略構成]
本発明の一実施形態における表示装置は、OLEDを用いた有機EL(Electro−Luminescence)表示装置である。この例での有機EL表示装置は、それぞれ異なる色を放出する複数のOLEDを用いて、カラー表示を得ている。この例では、赤色(R)の光を放出するOLED、緑色(G)を放出するOLED、および青色(B)を放出するOLEDが用いられている。
図1は、本発明の第1実施形態における表示装置の構成を説明する図である。表示装置1000は、第1基板1、第1基板1に貼り合わされた第2基板2、および第1基板1の端子領域199に接続されたFPC(Flexible printed circuits)950を備える。端子領域199は、複数の接続端子が並んで配置されている。FPC950には、ドライバIC901が実装されている。
図2は、本発明の第1実施形態におけるセンサ電極の形状を説明する図である。第1センサ電極801および第2センサ電極803は、それぞれ、x方向およびy方向を対角線とした略正方形の外縁に沿った外形を有する電極であるが、発光領域に対応した位置に開口部を有することにより、発光領域以外に対応した位置において配置されることによって、いわゆるメッシュ状の導電体を有している。この例では、第1センサ電極801は、遮光性を有する金属により形成されているが、発光領域からの光は開口部を介して表示面に向けて通過することができる。なお、第2センサ電極803については、第1センサ電極801と同様の構成を有し、すなわち、メッシュ状の導電体を有している。
続いて、図1に示す表示領域D1から端子領域199までの領域を含む範囲における表示装置1000の断面構成について説明する。
続いて、第1センサ電極801および第2センサ電極803における導電部811が、発光領域LAからの発光に与える影響(遮光状態)について説明する。
続いて、第1実施形態における特徴をよりわかりやすくするために、比較例を用いて説明する。
第1実施形態では、色が異なって隣接する発光領域LAの間の全てにおいて導電部811が配置されていたが、第2実施形態では発光領域LAの間の一部において導電部811が配置されていない第1センサ電極801Aについて説明する。第2センサ電極については、第1センサ電極801Aと同様な構成であるため説明を省略する。
Claims (9)
- 表示面に向けて発光する第1発光領域と、
前記第1発光領域に対して第1方向に向けて第1距離の位置に配置され、前記表示面に向けて発光する第2発光領域と、
前記第2発光領域に対して前記第1方向に向けて前記第1距離よりも小さい第2距離の位置に配置され、前記表示面に向けて発光する第3発光領域と、
前記表示面から見た場合において前記第1発光領域と前記第2発光領域との間の位置に配置され、前記第1方向に第1幅を有する第1導電部と、
前記表示面から見た場合において前記第2発光領域と前記第3発光領域との間の位置に配置され、前記第1方向に前記第1幅よりも小さい第2幅を有する第2導電部と、
を含む表示装置。 - 前記表示面から見た場合において、前記第1発光領域から前記第1導電部までの距離と、前記第2発光領域から前記第2導電部までの距離とが等しいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記表示面から見た場合において、前記第2発光領域から前記第1導電部までの距離と、前記第3発光領域から前記第2導電部までの距離とが等しいことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1発光領域、前記第2発光領域および前記第3発光領域の少なくとも1つは、残りの2つと異なる色で発光することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1発光領域は、前記第3発光領域と同じ色で発光し、前記第2発光領域とは異なる色で発光することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1導電部と前記第2導電部とは導通していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1導電部と前記第2導電部とは、タッチセンサの電極の一部を構成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1導電部と前記第2導電部とは、遮光性を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1導電部および前記第2導電部は、前記第1発光領域、前記第2発光領域および前記第3発光領域を覆う絶縁層の同一表面上に接して配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
