また、上記目的を達成するため、本発明の一態様に係る照明装置は、光源と、光を反射する反射層と、透光性を有し、前記反射層の表面側に設けられる光拡散層と、透光性を有し、前記光拡散層の表面側に設けられて前記光拡散層と対面する散乱パネルとを備え、前記散乱パネルと前記反射層及び前記光拡散層との間隔の少なくとも一部は、前記散乱パネルの一端側から他端側に向かうにつれて変化し、前記光源は、前記散乱パネルの前記一端側に設けられ、前記光拡散層及び前記散乱パネルに向かう光を照射する姿勢で配置され、複数の互いに異なる発光色の光を出射する。
また、上記目的を達成するため、本発明の一態様に係る照明装置は、光源と、光を反射する反射層と、透光性を有し、前記反射層の表面側に設けられる光拡散層と、透光性を有し、前記光拡散層の表面側に設けられて前記光拡散層と対面する散乱パネルと、所定の波長の光を吸収する波長吸収層を備え、前記散乱パネルと前記反射層及び前記光拡散層との間隔の少なくとも一部は、前記散乱パネルの一端側から他端側に向かうにつれて変化し、前記光源は、前記散乱パネルの前記一端側に設けられ、前記光拡散層及び前記散乱パネルに向かう光を照射する姿勢で配置される。
室内から窓を通して青空を見た場合、窓の向こうに無限の奥行きを感じる。また、青空は、均一ではなく、色温度や輝度がグラデーション状に連続的に変化する。さらに、窓から差し込む光は、一日の時間の経過とともに色温度が変わるとともに、天候によっても変化する。このため、照明装置を用いた採光環境を提供する場合においては、より自然に近い採光環境を如何にして提供するかが重要な課題となる。

請求項1〜12のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。 - 前記散乱パネルは、入射した光をレイリー散乱させるレイリー散乱板である
