Description
図1は、本実施形態に係る内燃機関(以下、「エンジン」という)1及びその排気浄化システム2の構成を示す図である。排気浄化システム2は、エンジン1の排気ポートから延びる排気管11に設けられた触媒浄化装置3と、エンジン1及び触媒浄化装置3を制御する電子制御ユニット(以下、「ECU」という)7と、を備える。
図3は、DeSOx運転時における空燃比がSOx脱離量に及ぼす影響を示す図である。図3の縦軸は単位時間当りのSOx脱離量[g/sec]である。図3の横軸はSOx捕捉量、すなわちNSCに捕捉されているSOxの単位体積当りの量[g/L]である。また図3には、DeSOx運転時の空燃比をストイキよりリッチ側で変化させた時に得られる結果を、線種を変えて示す。図3では、実線、破線、一点鎖線の順でDeSOx運転時の空燃比をリッチ側へ深くした。
(B)エンジンの運転状態が、少なくともアイドル運転領域を除いた所定の領域内であること。
(C)フィルタの上流側の排気の温度が、少なくともNSCのSOx脱離温度を含む所定のDeSOx許可温度範囲内であること。
(D)脱離すべきSOxが所定量以上、NSCに捕捉されていること。
例えば、上記実施形態では、DeSOx運転の目標リッチ時間と目標リッチ空燃比との両方をPM堆積量に応じて変更したが(図4のS17,S18参照)、本発明はこれに限らない。例えば、目標リッチ空燃比を固定しかつ目標リッチ時間のみをPM堆積量に応じて変化させてもよいし、或いは目標リッチ時間を固定し目標リッチ空燃比のみをPM堆積量に応じて変化させてもよい。このように、目標リッチ時間と目標リッチ空燃比の何れかのみを変化させても、ほぼ同じ効果を奏する。

Claims (3)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に設けられ、排気中のNOxを浄化するNOx触媒と、
前記排気通路に設けられ、排気中の粒子状物質を捕集するフィルタと、
前記フィルタにおける粒子状物質の捕集量を取得する捕集量取得手段と、
前記フィルタに高温かつ酸化雰囲気の排気を供給することで当該フィルタに堆積した粒子状物質を燃焼除去するフィルタ再生運転と、前記NOx触媒に高温かつ還元雰囲気の排気を供給することで当該NOx触媒におけるSOxを脱離するNOx触媒再生運転と、を交互に実行する再生制御手段と、を備える内燃機関の排気浄化システムであって、
前記再生制御手段は、前回のNOx触媒再生運転が終了してから所定の最低インターバル時間が経過した後に前記フィルタ再生運転から前記NOx触媒再生運転に切り替えるとともに、前記捕集量が多いほど、前記NOx触媒再生運転の実行時間を短くするか、前記NOx触媒再生運転の実行時に前記NOx触媒に供給する排気の空燃比をストイキよりリッチ側で大きくするか、又は前記実行時間を短くしかつ前記NOx触媒に供給する排気の空燃比をストイキよりリッチ側で大きくすることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 前記再生制御手段は、前記NOx触媒再生運転の開始時における前記捕集量が多いほど当該NOx触媒再生運転の実行時間を短くし、前記NOx触媒再生運転の開始時における前記捕集量が少ないほど当該NOx触媒再生運転の実行時間を長くすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化システム。
- 前記再生制御手段は、前記NOx触媒再生運転の開始時における前記捕集量が多いほど当該NOx触媒再生運転の実行時に前記NOx触媒に供給する排気の空燃比をストイキよりリッチ側で大きくし、前記NOx触媒再生運転の開始時における前記捕集量が少ないほど当該NOx触媒再生運転の実行時に前記NOx触媒に供給する排気の空燃比をストイキよりリッチ側で小さくすることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化システム。
