Description
1.主剤としてのポリオール及び有機溶剤と、硬化剤としてのポリイソシアネートとからなるウレタン塗料を主成分とするゴルフボール用塗料組成物であって、上記ポリオールとして2種類のポリエステルポリオールを用い、これら2種類のポリエステルポリオールが、(A)重量平均分子量(Mw)20,000〜30,000のものと、(B)重量平均分子量(Mw)800〜1,500のものであり、上記2種類のポリエステルポリオールからなる主剤の全体の重量平均分子量(Mw)が13,000〜23,000であり、上記主剤の全体の数平均分子量(Mn)が1,100〜2,000であり、(A)成分の配合量が主剤全量に対して20〜30質量%であり、(B)成分の配合量が主剤全量に対して2〜18質量%であると共に、上記2種類のポリエステルポリオールが有する水酸基(OH基)と上記ポリイソシアネートが有するイソシアネート基(NCO基)とのモル比(NCO基/OH基)が0.6〜0.9の範囲であり、且つ、以下の方法で測定される上記組成物の弾性仕事回復率が70%以上であることを特徴とするゴルフボール用塗料組成物。
[弾性仕事回復率の測定方法]
厚み50μmの塗膜シートを使用して測定し、測定装置は超微小硬度計が用いられ、測定の条件は、以下の通りである。
・圧子:バーコビッチ圧子
・荷重F:0.2mN
・荷重時間:10秒
・保持時間:1秒
・除荷時間:10秒
塗膜の戻り変形による押し込み仕事量Welast(Nm)と機械的な押し込み仕事量Wtotal(Nm)とに基づいて、下記数式によって弾性仕事回復率が算出される。
弾性仕事回復率=Welast / Wtotal × 100(%)
2.上記組成物の弾性仕事回復率が80%以上である上記1記載のゴルフボール用塗料組成物。
3.上記2種類のポリエステルポリオールが有する水酸基(OH基)と上記ポリイソシアネートが有するイソシアネート基(NCO基)とのモル比(NCO基/OH基)が0.6〜0.74の範囲である上記1又は2記載のゴルフボール用塗料組成物。
本発明の第1発明であるゴルフボール用塗料組成物は、ポリオールとポリイソシアネートとからなるウレタン塗料を主成分とするものである。
表1に示す配合によりコア用のゴム組成物を調製した後、155℃、15分間加硫成形することにより直径36.3mmのコアを作製した。次に、同表に示す各種の樹脂材料を配合したカバー(内側から順に包囲層、中間層及び最外層)を射出成形法により順次被覆した。
包囲層の厚みは1.3mm、材料硬度はショアD硬度で52であり、中間層の厚みは1.1mm、材料硬度はショアD硬度で62であり、最外層の厚みは0.8mm、材料硬度はショアD硬度で47であった。なお、特に図示してはいないが、最外層の外表面には多数のディンプルが射出成形と同時に形成された。

「ポリブタジエンB」:商品名「BR51」JSR社製
「有機過酸化物」:ジクミルパーオキサイド、商品名「パークミルD」日油社製
「硫酸バリウム」:商品名「バリコ#100」ハクスイテック社製
「酸化亜鉛」:商品名「酸化亜鉛3種」堺化学工業社製
「アクリル酸亜鉛」:日本触媒社製
「水」:蒸留水、和光純薬工業社製
「ペンタクロロチオフェノール亜鉛塩」:和光純薬工業社製
「HPF1000」:Dupont社製のアイオノマー
「ハイミラン1605」:Na系アイオノマー、三井・デュポンポリケミカル社製
「ハイミラン1557」:Zn系アイオノマー、三井・デュポンポリケミカル社製
「ハイミラン1706」:Zn系アイオノマー、三井・デュポンポリケミカル社製
「T−8290」、「T−8283」:DIC BayerPolymer社製の商標パンデックス、MDI−PTMGタイプ熱可塑性ポリウレタン
「ハイトレル4001」:東レデュポン社製、ポリエステルエラストマー
「ポリリエチレンワックス」:三洋化成社製、商品名「サンワックス161P」
「酸化チタン」:石原産業社製「タイペークR680」
「イソシアネート化合物」:4,4’−ジフェニルメタンジイソシアネート
次に、下記表2に示す塗料配合において、ディンプルが多数形成された最外層の表面に、エアースプレーガンにより上記塗料を塗装し、厚み15μmの塗膜層を形成した各例のゴルフボールを作製した。
塗料の弾性仕事回復率の測定には、厚み50μmの塗膜シートを使用して測定する。測定装置は、エリオニクス社の超微小硬度計「ENT−2100」が用いられ、測定の条件は、以下の通りである。
・圧子:バーコビッチ圧子(材質:ダイヤモンド、角度α:65.03°)
・荷重F:0.2mN
・荷重時間:10秒
・保持時間:1秒
・除荷時間:10秒
塗膜の戻り変形による押し込み仕事量Welast(Nm)と機械的な押し込み仕事量Wtotal(Nm)とに基づいて、下記数式によって弾性仕事回復率が算出される。
弾性仕事回復率=Welast / Wtotal × 100(%)
環流冷却管、滴下漏斗、ガス導入管及び温度計を備えた反応装置に、トリメチロールプロパン140質量部、エチレングリコール95質量部、アジピン酸157質量部、1,4−シクロヘキサンジメタノール58質量部を仕込み、撹拌しながら200〜240℃まで昇温させ、5時間加熱(反応)させた。その後、酸価4,水酸基価170,重量平均分子量(Mw)28,000の「ポリエステルポリオール(A)」を得た。
次に、上記の合成したポリエステルポリオール(A)を酢酸ブチルで溶解させ、不揮発分70質量%のワニスを調製した。
分子量は、以下の装置により測定した。
装置:東ソー(株)製 高速GPC装置 HLC−8220
カラム:東ソー(株)製 「TSK−GEL G2000HXL」と「TSK−GEL G4000HXL」との2個連結
カラム温度:40℃
検出器:示差屈折計
溶離液:THF
カラム流速:0.6ml/min
外径210mmのポットミルに5mm前後の大きさの砂を約4kg入れ、該ポットミルに15個のボールを投入した。そして、ボールミルにて50〜60rpmの回転数で120分間、撹拌した。その後、ボールをポットミルから取り出し、下記の基準により、ボール外観を評価した。
〔判定基準〕
◎:ボール表面には、剥離や汚れなど目立った外傷なし
○:ボール表面には、小さな傷や汚れが見られる
×:ボール表面には、摩耗による大きな剥離、又は汚れや艶の減退などが目立つ
外径210mmのポットミルに5mm前後の大きさの砂及び水を約4kg入れ、該ポットミルに15個のボールを投入した。そして、ボールミルにて50〜60rpmの回転数で120分間、撹拌した。その後、ボールをポットミルから取り出し、下記の基準により、ボール外観を評価した。
〔判定基準〕
◎:ボール表面には、剥離や汚れなど目立った外傷なし
○:ボール表面には、小さな傷や汚れが見られる
×:ボール表面には、摩耗による大きな剥離、又は汚れや艶の減退などが目立つ
本実施例1〜3のゴルフボールは、いずれも、砂摩耗試験及び砂水摩耗試験が良好な結果となり塗膜外観が良好であることが分かる。
これに対して、比較例1及び比較例2は、砂水摩耗試験によるボール表面は良好であるが、砂摩耗試験におけるボール表面は、摩耗による剥離、又は汚れや艶の減退などが目立つ。
Claims (3)
- 主剤としてのポリオール及び有機溶剤と、硬化剤としてのポリイソシアネートとからなるウレタン塗料を主成分とするゴルフボール用塗料組成物であって、上記ポリオールとして2種類のポリエステルポリオールを用い、これら2種類のポリエステルポリオールが、(A)重量平均分子量(Mw)20,000〜30,000のものと、(B)重量平均分子量(Mw)800〜1,500のものであり、上記2種類のポリエステルポリオールからなる主剤の全体の重量平均分子量(Mw)が13,000〜23,000であり、上記主剤の全体の数平均分子量(Mn)が1,100〜2,000であり、(A)成分の配合量が主剤全量に対して20〜30質量%であり、(B)成分の配合量が主剤全量に対して2〜18質量%であると共に、上記2種類のポリエステルポリオールが有する水酸基(OH基)と上記ポリイソシアネートが有するイソシアネート基(NCO基)とのモル比(NCO基/OH基)が0.6〜0.9の範囲であり、且つ、以下の方法で測定される上記組成物の弾性仕事回復率が70%以上であることを特徴とするゴルフボール用塗料組成物。
