・ 各周囲カバー部と風力タービン翼の長手方向縁部の表面との間に漏れ出ている余分な接着剤を除去する工程と、

保護カバーを備えた風力タービン翼を提供する方法に関する。
・ 風力タービン翼への保護カバーの取り付けに先立ち、風力タービン翼の長手方向縁部の表面に各周囲カバー部の外縁部に沿って且つ当該外縁部から一定距離だけ離間して、0.2ミリメートル未満の好ましくは0.1ミリメートル未満の厚さを有するマスキングテープを仮接着する工程と、
・ 風力タービン翼への保護カバーの取り付け後に、各周囲カバー部と風力タービン翼の長手方向縁部の表面との間に漏れ出ている余分な接着剤を掻き落とす工程と、

・ 各周囲カバー部7と風力タービン翼2の長手方向縁部3の表面5との間に漏れ出ている余分な接着剤を除去する工程。
・ 風力タービン翼2への保護カバー1の取り付けに先立ち、風力タービン翼2の長手方向縁部3の表面5に、各周囲カバー部7の外縁部30に沿って且つ当該外縁部から一定距離だけ離間して、0.2ミリメートル未満の、好ましくは0.1ミリメートル未満の厚さを有するマスキングテープ24を仮接着する工程と、
・ 風力タービン翼2への保護カバー1の取り付け後に、各周囲カバー部7と風力タービン翼2の長手方向縁部3の表面5との間に漏れ出ている余分な接着剤を掻き落とす工程と、
・ 風力タービン翼2の長手方向縁部3の表面5から、マスキングテープ24を除去する工程。

Claims (12)
- 保護カバー(1)が、ポリエーテル系ポリウレタン等の高分子材料から形成され、
前記保護カバー(1)が、前記風力タービン翼の長手方向縁部(3)の少なくとも一部に沿って、当該保護カバーの内面(4)と前記風力タービン翼の前記長手方向縁部の表面(5)との間に配設された接着剤の層により、取り付けられ、
前記保護カバーが、長手方向(D)に細長く延伸されて少なくとも略U字形の断面を有し、
前記保護カバーが、前記長手方向に延びる中央カバー部(6)と、当該中央カバー部(6)の両側で前記長手方向に延びる二つの周囲カバー部(7)と、を備えて、前記中央カバー部と前記周囲カバー部とがそれぞれ外縁部(30)を有し、
前記中央カバー部(6)が、少なくとも1ミリメートルの最小厚さを有し、
各周囲カバー部(7)が、少なくとも1ミリメートルの最大厚さからその外縁部(30)における1ミリメートル未満の最小厚さまで減少する厚さを有し、これにより、
前記接着剤が、チキソトロピー性とUV抵抗性とを有する二液型エポキシ接着剤等の汎用接着剤であり、
前記接着剤が、各周囲カバー部(7)の外縁部(30)と前記風力タービン翼(2)の前記長手方向縁部の前記表面(5)との間に継ぎ目(21、22)を形成することにより、前記外縁部(30)が、その厚さ全体に亘り前記接着剤により少なくとも略完全に覆われると共に、前記継ぎ目(21、22)が、各周囲カバー部(7)の外縁部(30)から前記風力タービン翼(2)の前記長手方向縁部の前記表面(5)まで傾斜面を形成し、
前記継ぎ目(21、22)が、前記外縁部(30)において第一の高さ(h1)を有すると共に、前記風力タービン翼(2)の前記長手方向縁部の前記表面(5)で前記継ぎ目(21、22)が終端する位置において第二の高さ(h2)を有し、
前記第二の高さ(h2)が、前記第一の高さ(h1)より小さく、0.2ミリメートル未満である、
保護カバー(1)を備えた風力タービン翼(2)において、
前記継ぎ目(21、22)が、前記保護カバーの前記内面(4)と前記風力タービン翼(2)の前記長手方向縁部の前記表面(5)との間に配設された接着剤の層(16)と一体的に形成される、ことを特徴とする保護カバー(1)を備えた風力タービン翼(2)。 - 前記第一の高さ(h1)が、0.250ミリメートルより大きい、請求項1に記載の保護カバー(1)を備えた風力タービン翼(2)。
- 前記継ぎ目(21、22)が、前記周囲カバー部(7)の前記外縁部(30)から、前記風力タービン翼(2)の前記長手方向縁部の前記表面(5)で前記継ぎ目(21、22)が終端する位置まで、の幅(W)を有し、前記幅(W)が、2乃至5ミリメートルである、請求項1または2に記載の保護カバー(1)を備えた風力タービン翼(2)。
- 両面接着剤転写テープ(23)の第一の面を前記保護カバー(1)の前記内面(4)に接着し、前記両面接着剤転写テープ(23)の第二の面を前記風力タービン翼(2)の前記長手方向縁部(3)の前記表面(5)に接着する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の保護カバー(1)を備えた風力タービン翼(2)。
- 前記両面接着剤転写テープ(23)の前記第一の面を、前記保護カバー(1)の前記内面(4)に、前記保護カバー(1)の中心軸線に少なくとも略沿って、接着する、保護カバー(1)を備えた、請求項4に記載の保護カバー(1)を備えた風力タービン翼(2)。
- 保護カバー(1)を備えた風力タービン翼(2)を提供する方法であって、
前記保護カバー(1)が、ポリエーテル系ポリウレタン等の高分子材料から形成され、
前記保護カバー(1)が、前記風力タービン翼の長手方向縁部(3)の少なくとも一部に沿って、取り付けられ、
前記保護カバー(1)が、長手方向(D)に細長く延伸されて少なくとも略U字形の断面を有し、
前記保護カバーが、前記長手方向に延びる中央カバー部(6)と、当該中央カバー部(6)の両側で前記長手方向に延びる二つの周囲カバー部(7)と、を備え、前記中央カバー部と前記周囲カバー部とがそれぞれ外縁部(30)を有し、
前記中央カバー部(6)が、少なくとも1ミリメートルの最小厚さを有し、
各周囲カバー部(7)が、少なくとも1ミリメートルの最大厚さからその外縁部(30)における1ミリメートル未満の最小厚さまで減少する厚さを有し、
前記取り付け手順が、以下の各工程、即ち、
・ 前記保護カバー(1)の内面(4)に、二液型エポキシ接着剤等の接着剤を塗布する工程と、
・ 前記風力タービン翼(2)の前記長手方向縁部(3)の表面(5)に対して前記保護カバー(1)の前記内面(4)を押し付ける工程と、
・ 各周囲カバー部(7)と前記風力タービン翼(2)の前記長手方向縁部(3)の前記表面(5)との間に漏れ出ている余分な接着剤を除去する工程と、
を含み、
前記接着剤が、チキソトロピー性とUV抵抗性とを有する二液型エポキシ接着剤等の汎用接着剤であること、および、
前記取り付け手順が、以下の各工程、即ち、
・ 前記風力タービン翼(2)への前記保護カバー(1)の取り付けに先立ち、前記風力タービン翼(2)の前記長手方向縁部(3)の前記表面(5)に、各周囲カバー部(7)の前記外縁部(30)に沿って且つ当該外縁部から一定距離だけ離間して、0.2ミリメートル未満の厚さを有するマスキングテープ(24)を仮接着する工程と、
・ 前記風力タービン翼(2)への前記保護カバー(1)の取り付け後に、各周囲カバー部(7)と前記風力タービン翼(2)の前記長手方向縁部(3)の前記表面(5)との間に漏れ出ている余分な接着剤を掻き落とす工程と、
・ 前記風力タービン翼(2)の前記長手方向縁部(3)の前記表面(5)から、前記マスキングテープ(24)を除去する工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする、保護カバー(1)を備えた風力タービン翼(2)を提供する方法。 - 各周囲カバー部(7)の前記外縁部(30)における最小厚さが、0.250ミリメートルより大きい、請求項6に記載の保護カバー(1)を備えた風力タービン翼(2)を提供する方法。
- 前記仮接着されるマスキングテープ(24)の、各周囲カバー部(7)の前記外縁部(30)からの距離は、2乃至5ミリメートルである、請求項6または7に記載の保護カバー(1)を備えた風力タービン翼(2)を提供する方法。
- 前記風力タービン翼(2)への前記保護カバー(1)の取り付け前に、両面接着剤転写テープ(23)の第一の面を前記保護カバー(1)の前記内面(4)に接着すると共に、前記保護カバー(1)の前記内面(4)への接着剤の塗布前に、前記両面接着剤転写テープ(23)の第二の面を前記風力タービン翼(2)の前記長手方向縁部(3)の前記表面(5)に接着する、請求項6〜8のいずれか一項に記載の保護カバー(1)を備えた風力タービン翼(2)を提供する方法。
- 前記両面接着剤転写テープ(23)の前記第一の面を、前記保護カバー(1)の前記内面(4)に、前記保護カバー(1)の中心軸線に少なくとも略沿って、接着する、請求項9に記載の保護カバー(1)を備えた風力タービン翼(2)を提供する方法。
- 前記接着剤は、最初に前記両面接着剤転写テープ(23)に係る第一の面に塗布され次に前記両面接着剤転写テープ(23)に係る第二の面に塗布されるので、前記保護カバー(1)の前記内面(4)上に、または、前記風力タービン翼(2)の前記長手方向縁部(3)の前記表面(5)上に、塗布される、請求項10に記載の保護カバー(1)を備えた風力タービン翼(2)を提供する方法。
- 前記両面接着剤転写テープ(23)の前記第二の面に前記接着剤を塗布する前に、前記保護カバー(1)を、前記両面接着剤転写テープ(23)の前記第一の面で、前記風力タービン翼(2)の前記長手方向縁部(3)の前記表面(5)に対して押し付ける、請求項11に記載の保護カバー(1)を備えた風力タービン翼(2)を提供する方法。
