Description
−リファイニングの度合い(refining level)が70〜98°SRであり、リファイニングした(refined)セルロース系繊維である第1成分、及び
−pH2.7で測定した電荷密度が0.1〜2.5meq/gであって、かつ、平均分子量が300,000g/molを超える(>)合成カチオン性ポリマーである第2成分、
を含むことを特徴とする紙力剤である。
−繊維ストックを得ること、
−本発明による第1成分及び第2成分を含む紙力剤を該繊維ストックに添加すること
を含むことを特徴とする。
ラピッド・ケーテン(Rapid Koethen)のハンドシート形成機を用いてハンドシート(手すき紙)を製造する一般原理は以下の通りである:
ラピッド・ケーテンの手すき紙形成装置ISO5269/2を用いて各種ハンドシートを生成する。繊維懸濁液は水道水により0.5%コンシステンシーに希釈する。この水の導電率は、実際のプロセス水の導電率に対応するように、550μS/cmにNaClで調整した。繊維懸濁液の撹拌をジャー内でプロペラミキサーを用いて1000rpmの一定の攪拌速度で行う。最終シートの強度特性を改良するための本発明に係る紙力剤を、脱水(drainage)の60秒前に攪拌しながら懸濁液に添加する。また、全てのシートは、真空乾燥機で5分間、1000mbarの圧力、92℃の温度で乾燥させた。乾燥させた後、これらシートについて、引張強さ試験を行う前に24時間23℃で50%の相対湿度で予め調整した。
ハンドシートの作製は、上記のようにして行った。シート坪量(basis weight)は80g/m2であった。
1)第1成分としては、リファイニングの度合いがSR90のマツクラフトパルプ。マツクラフトパルプのリファイニングは、バレービーター(Valley−beater)で行ったものであり、乾燥繊維として計算して1.64質量%であり、
2)第2成分としては、カチオン性ポリアクリルアミドであり、平均分子量800,000g/mol、電荷密度1.3meg/gである。
Claims (18)
- 紙、板紙などに用いる紙力剤であって、
−リファイニングの度合いが70〜98°SRであり、機械的にリファイニングしたセルロース系繊維である第1成分、及び
−pH2.7で測定した電荷密度が0.1〜2.5meq/gであって、かつ、平均分子量が300,000g/molを超える(>)合成カチオン性ポリマーである第2成分
を含むことを特徴とする紙力剤。 - 該セルロース系繊維のリファイニングの度合いが75〜90°SRであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の紙力剤。
- 該第1成分が、クラフトパルプ化によって得た、かつ、機械的にのみリファイニングしたセルロース系繊維からなることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の紙力剤。
- 該セルロース系繊維が、クラフトパルプ化によって得た漂白針葉樹繊維であることを特徴とする請求項1、2又は3に記載の紙力剤。
- 該合成カチオン性ポリマーの電荷密度が、0.2〜2.5meq/gであることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の紙力剤。
- 該合成カチオン性ポリマーの平均分子量が、300,000〜6,000,000g/molであることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の紙力剤。
- 該合成カチオン性ポリマーが、メタクリルアミド又はアクリルアミドと少なくとも1種のカチオン性モノマーとのコポリマーであることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の紙力剤。
- 該カチオン性モノマーが、メタクリロイルオキシエチルトリメチルアンモニウムクロリド、アクリロイルオキシエチルトリメチルアンモニウムクロリド、3−(メタクリルアミド)プロピルトリメチルアンモニウムクロリド、3−(アクリロイルアミド)プロピルトリメチルアンモニウムクロリド、ジアリルジメチルアンモニウムクロリド、ジメチルアミノエチルアクリレート、ジメチルアミノエチルメタクリレート、ジメチルアミノプロピルアクリルアミド、及びジメチルアミノプロピルメタクリルアミドからなる群から選ばれたものであることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の紙力剤。
- 置換度が0.01〜0.5のカチオン性又は両性デンプンを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の紙力剤。
- 該リファイニングしたセルロース系繊維及び合成カチオン性ポリマーを、100:1〜5:1の比で含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の紙力剤。
- 該リファイニングしたセルロース系繊維及び合成カチオン性ポリマーを、70:1〜20:1の比で含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の紙力剤。
- 紙、板紙などの強度特性を高めるために請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の紙力剤を使用する方法。
- 乾燥繊維ストック当たり計算して、第1成分の用量が0.1〜10質量%の範囲内となり、かつ、第2成分の用量が0.02〜0.5質量%の範囲内となるような量で、該紙力剤をパルプに添加することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 紙、板紙などの強度特性を高めるための方法であって、
−繊維ストックを得ること、及び
−請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の、第1成分及び第2成分を含む紙力剤を該繊維ストックに添加すること
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 該繊維ストックが無機填料を含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 該繊維ストックへ、該紙力剤の第1成分を添加し、その後に該紙力剤の第2成分を添加することを特徴とする請求項14又は15に記載の方法。
- 該繊維ストックへ、該紙力剤の第2成分を添加し、その後に該紙力剤の第1成分を添加することを特徴とする請求項14又は15に記載の方法。
- 該紙力剤又は該紙力剤の成分のいずれかを、少なくとも20g/lのコンシステンシーを有する濃厚繊維ストックに添加することを特徴とする請求項14〜17のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
