Description
実施形態に係る蒸発燃料処理装置の構成について、図1を参照して説明する。図1は、実施形態に係る蒸発燃料処理装置の全体構成図である。
次に、上述の如く構成された蒸発燃料処理装置20の動作概要について説明する。ECU19は、車両の走行中に、所定のパージ条件が成立する場合に、パージ弁26vが適宜開かれる。このとき、切替弁28vは開弁状態であるので、エンジン14の吸気負圧に起因して、大気通路28から大気が流入する。この大気によりキャニスタ22の吸着材からパージされた蒸発燃料が、パージ弁26vを介してエンジン14の吸気通路17に導入される。また、ECU19は、タンク圧センサ15sにより検出された燃料タンク15の圧力が所定圧力より高い場合に、封鎖弁40を開弁して、燃料タンク15の圧抜き制御を行う。尚、キャニスタ22の吸着材に吸着された蒸発燃料のパージに係る制御、及び燃料タンク15の圧抜き制御については、既存の各種態様を適用可能であるので、その詳細についての説明は省略する。
封鎖弁40の構成について、図2を参照して説明を加える。図2は、実施形態に係る封鎖弁の一状態を示す縦断面図である。
次に、上述の如く構成された封鎖弁40の動作について説明する。封鎖弁40は、ECU19からの信号に基づいてステッピングモータ50を開弁方向又は閉弁方向に予め決められたステップ数だけ回転させる。この結果、ステッピングモータ50の出力軸54の雄ネジ部54nとバルブガイド60の筒軸部66の雌ネジ部66wとの螺合作用により、バルブガイド60が上下方向に予め決められたストローク量だけ移動する。
封鎖弁40の開弁位置は、例えばバルブ体70に形成された連結凸部72tの位置公差、バルブガイド60の連結凹部62mに形成された底壁部62bの位置公差等により、封鎖弁40毎に異なる。このため、当該蒸発燃料処理装置20では、封鎖弁40の開弁位置の学習を行う学習制御が行われる。本実施形態に係る学習制御について、図3及び図4を参照して説明する。
蒸発燃料処理装置20では、封鎖弁40の開弁位置の学習時に、ステッピングモータ50が2ステップずつ開弁方向に回転される。このため、学習時にステッピングモータ50が1ステップずつ開弁方向に回転される場合に比べて、学習にかかる時間を短縮することができる。
システム圧センサ26sにより、例えば、(i)バルブ体70のシール部材76がバルブケーシング42の弁座から、ステッピングモータ50の1ステップ分のストローク量だけ離れた場合のシステム圧力の変化量と、(ii)シール部材76が弁座から、ステッピングモータ50の2ステップ分のストローク量だけ離れた場合のシステム圧力の変化量と、(iii)シール部材76が弁座から、ステッピングモータ50の3ステップ分のストローク量だけ離れた場合のシステム圧力の変化量と、を精度良く判別できるのであれば、封鎖弁40の開弁位置の学習時に、封鎖弁40の開弁位置の学習の際に、ステッピングモータ50が3ステップずつ(更には、4ステップ以上ずつ)開弁方向に回転されてもよい。
Claims (1)
- 燃料タンク内で発生した蒸発燃料を吸着する吸着材を備えるキャニスタと、前記キャニスタと前記燃料タンクとをつなぐベーパ通路と、前記ベーパ通路に設けられ、ストローク量が所定量未満の場合に閉弁状態となり、前記ストローク量が前記所定量以上の場合に開弁状態となる封鎖弁と、を備える蒸発燃料処理装置であって、
前記封鎖弁は、前記ストローク量を調整可能なステッピングモータを有し、
当該蒸発燃料処理装置は、前記封鎖弁の開弁位置を学習する学習手段を備え、
前記学習手段は、前記開弁位置の学習の際に、(i)前記ステッピングモータを開弁方向に2ステップずつ回転させることにより前記ストローク量を段階的に増加させ、(ii)前記封鎖弁が前記開弁状態となったときの前記ステッピングモータの回転に伴う前記封鎖弁の前記キャニスタ側の圧力変動に基づいて、現在の前記ストローク量と前記開弁位置に対応する前記ストローク量との差が、前記ステッピングモータの回転の1ステップ分であるか2ステップ分であるかを判定して、前記開弁位置を学習する
ことを特徴とする蒸発燃料処理装置。
