Description
当該フルオレン誘導体を前駆体として得られる化合物である。
当該化合物を含む組成物である。当該組成物は、硬化剤及び硬化促進剤をさらに含有することが好ましい。
芳香族ヘテロ環化合物とフルオレノンとを反応させる工程を有する下記式(1)で表されるフルオレン誘導体の製造方法である。
本発明のフルオレン誘導体は、下記式(1)で表される。
ピロール類、ピリジン類、インドール類、キノリン類、カルバゾール類、フェナントリジン類、アクリジン類、プリン類、ピラジン類、ピリミジン類、ピリダジン類、トリアジン類、イソキノリン類、ナフチリジン類、イミダゾール類、ベンゾイミダゾール類、ピラゾール類等の含窒素芳香族ヘテロ環化合物;
フラン類、ベンゾフラン類、ベンゾピラン類、キサンテン類等の含酸素芳香族ヘテロ環化合物;
チオフェン類、ベンゾチオフェン類、チアントレン類等の含硫黄芳香族ヘテロ環化合物;
オキサゾール類、ベンゾオキサゾール類、フラザン類等の含窒素含酸素芳香族ヘテロ環化合物;
チアアゾール類、ベンゾチアゾール類等の含窒素含硫黄芳香族ヘテロ環化合物等が挙げられる。
本発明のフルオレン誘導体の製造方法は、芳香族ヘテロ環化合物とフルオレノンとを反応させる工程を有する。具体的には、例えば当該フルオレン誘導体は、有機溶媒中、酸触媒の存在下又は無触媒にて、9−フルオレノンと芳香族ヘテロ環化合物とを反応させる工程を有する方法により製造される。当該反応の反応機構は定かではないが、芳香族ヘテロ環化合物の持つπ過剰芳香族性によるものと推測される。
0.1モルが好ましく、1.5モルがより好ましい。この芳香族ヘテロ環化合物の配合量の上限としては、フルオレノン1モルに対し5モルが好ましく、2.5モルがより好ましい。芳香族ヘテロ環化合物の配合量が上記下限未満では、フルオレノンが残留するため、それを除去するのに多大なエネルギーを要し、逆に上記上限を超えると未反応の芳香族ヘテロ環化合物を除去するのに多大なエネルギーを要する為、共に非経済的である。なお、芳香族ヘテロ環化合物の配合量を少なくすること等で、R2がヒドロキシ基である(芳香族ヘテロ環の導入を一つとした)フルオレン誘導体を得ることができる。
当該フルオレン誘導体を前駆体として得られる化合物は、当該フルオレン誘導体をアリル化、グリシジル化、エポキシ化、アクリル化、メチロール化等を行うことで得ることができる。上記各反応は、公知の方法により行うことができる。これらの化合物は、エポキシ樹脂原料、アクリル樹脂原料等の樹脂原料等として用いることができる。
当該フルオレン誘導体、又はこのフルオレン誘導体を前駆体として得られる化合物を含む組成物は、エポキシ樹脂原料、ポリカーボネート樹脂原料等の樹脂原料や、接着剤、塗料等に用いることができる。当該組成物における他の成分としては、各樹脂を製造する際に使用される公知のものが挙げられる。上記他の成分としては、例えば溶媒、硬化剤、硬化促進剤、無機充填剤、顔料、揺変性付与剤、流動性向上剤、上記フルオレン誘導体又は上記化合物以外の他のモノマー、硬化剤、硬化促進剤等が好ましい。
本発明の硬化物は、上記組成物を硬化して得られ、各種樹脂として使用することができる。これらの硬化物は、フルオレン骨格に由来する高融点、高屈折率、優れた蛍光特性といった様々な特性を付与する高汎用性の材料として様々な用途に用いることができる。なお、当該硬化物は、上記の組成物を光照射、加熱等の各組成に対応した公知の方法を用いることによって得ることができる。
GPC純度は、東ソー社のHLC−8220型GPC、RI検出器、TSK−Gel SuperHZ2000+HZ1000+HZ1000(4.6mmφ×150mm)カラムを用い、展開溶媒としてテトラヒドロフランを0.35ml/分で送液し、目的物ピークの面積比によって求めた。
HPLC純度及び反応の終点確認は、島津製作所社のHPLC Promineceシリーズ、UV検出器SPD−20A(246nm)、GLサイエンス社のODS−3(4.6mmφ×250mm)カラムを用い、水とアセトニトリルを任意の割合で混合した溶媒を1.0ml/分で送液し、目的物ピークの面積比によって求めた。
融点は、リガク社のDSC8230型示差走査熱量計にて、窒素雰囲気下5℃/分の昇温速度によるピークトップ法にて求めた。
1H−NMR及び13C−NMRは、バリアン社のUNITY−INOVA 400MHzを用い、TMSを基準物質としてアセトン溶媒で測定した。
屈折率は、京都電子工業社のRA−520N型屈折率計を用い、25℃にて1質量%、5質量%及び10質量%の各濃度でプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテート(PGMEA)に溶解して測定し、検量線を作成して100質量%時の換算屈折率を求めた。
3,000mlの環流管付き反応容器にインドール117.1g(1.0mol)、9−フルオレノン81.0g(0.45mol)及びメタノール234.2gを入れ、撹拌溶解した。98質量%の濃硫酸5.4gを投入し、60℃で24時間反応を行い、HPLCにてフルオレノンピークの消失と、主として目的物が生成していることを確認した。次いで、10質量%のNaOH水溶液18.0gで中和し、蒸留水351.0gを加えて撹拌した。析出した結晶を濾別後、メタノール1,208.0gに得られた結晶405.0gを加え、60℃で1時間撹拌した。結晶を濾別後、60℃にて減圧乾燥を行い、白色結晶170.1g(収率95.4%)を得た。
3,000mlの環流管付き反応容器に5−ブロモインドール8.2g、9−フルオレノン3.0g及びメタノール16.4gを入れ、撹拌溶解した。98質量%の濃硫酸0.2gを投入し、60℃で24時間反応を行い、HPLCにてフルオレノンピークの消失と、主として目的物が生成していることを確認した。次いで、10質量%のNaOH水溶液1.4gで中和し、蒸留水24.6gを加えて撹拌した。析出した結晶を濾別後、メタノール(43.0g)に得られた結晶(14.8g)を加え、60℃で1時間撹拌した。結晶を濾別後、60℃にて減圧乾燥を行い、白色結晶8.8g(収率95.3%)を得た。
500mlの環流管付き反応容器に実施例1で得られた白色結晶23.8g、37質量%のホルマリン38.9g、メタノール23.8g、及びトリエチルアミン12.1gを入れ、加熱昇温して、3時間還流反応さした。冷却後、30質量%のパラトルエンスルホン酸水溶液58.3gで中和し、1時間撹拌した。析出した結晶を濾別後、メチルエチルケトン35.3gに得られた結晶35.3gを加え、80℃で1時間撹拌した。30℃に冷却後、析出している結晶を濾別し、120℃にて減圧乾燥を行い、白色結晶16.8g(収率61.3%)を得た。

- 請求項1に記載の化合物を含む組成物。
- さらに、溶媒、無機充填剤、顔料、揺変性付与剤、流動性向上剤及び上記化合物以外のモノマーからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種を含む請求項2に記載の組成物。
- さらに、硬化剤及び/又は硬化促進剤を含む請求項2又は請求項3に記載の組成物。
- 少なくとも硬化剤を含む請求項4に記載の組成物を硬化して得られる硬化物。
