Claims (8)
- 少なくとも1つのガラスクラッド層と、前記ガラスクラッド層に付着したガラスコア層とを備えている、積層ガラス物品を製造する方法において、
前記積層ガラス物品の少なくとも1つのエッジで前記ガラスコア層の露出表面が露出されるように、前記積層ガラス物品の一部を除去するステップ、および、
前記ガラスコア層に結晶化した表面を形成するよう、前記ガラスコア層の一部を前記露出表面で結晶化するステップであって、前記ガラスコア層の前記一部が該ガラスコア層の残りの部分よりも低い熱膨張係数(CTE)を有する、ステップ、
を有してなることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記結晶化するステップが、前記ガラスクラッド層の露出表面で結晶化を誘起することなく行われることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記結晶化するステップの前に前記ガラスコア層の前記露出表面にLi+イオンまたはNa+イオンを導入するよう、前記ガラスコア層の前記露出表面でイオン交換を行うステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の方法。

- 前記ガラスクラッド層が、1質量%未満の、アルカリ金属、および/またはアルカリ金属含有化合物、またはアルカリ土類酸化物を含むことを特徴とする請求項4または5記載の積層ガラス物品。
- 前記ガラスコア層が、約1質量%超の、アルカリ金属酸化物またはアルカリ土類金属酸化物を含むことを特徴とする請求項4から6いずれか1項記載の積層ガラス物品。
- LCD、LED、OLED、および量子ドットディスプレイ、コンピュータモニタ、サウンドバー、および現金自動預け払い機(ATM)を含む、消費者向けまたは市販の電子機器におけるカバーガラスまたはガラス背面板用途、携帯電話、個人用メディアプレイヤ、およびタブレットコンピュータを含む、携帯型電子機器用のタッチスクリーンまたはタッチセンサ用途、半導体ウエハを含む集積回路用途、太陽電池用途、建築用ガラス用途、自動車または車両用の窓、照明、計器、およびヘルメットバイザーを含むガラス用途、市販のまたは家庭用の電化製品用途、照明または標識用途、レールおよび航空宇宙用途を含む輸送機関用途、または抗菌用途、のための、請求項1から3のいずれか1項記載の方法により製造されるガラス物品の、または請求項4から7のいずれか1項記載のガラス物品の使用。
