Description
Claims (18)
- 基板と、発熱抵抗体層と、圧力室の側壁を形成する側壁部材とを有し、前記圧力室の内部の液体を前記発熱抵抗体層の熱作用部で発泡させることで吐出口から液体を吐出する液体吐出ヘッドであって、
前記熱作用部は前記基板から離間しており、
前記圧力室の内部において前記発熱抵抗体層の表面の少なくとも一部は被覆層で被覆されており、前記被覆層は前記圧力室の内部から前記側壁部材の側壁と接触する位置まで延在しており、前記被覆層と前記側壁部材とは、前記被覆層が前記発熱抵抗体層の段差部分を被覆している部分で接触していることを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッド。 - 前記被覆層は、前記発熱抵抗体層の前記吐出口側の面を被覆している請求項1に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記被覆層は、前記発熱抵抗体層の前記吐出口側の面及び前記基板側の面を被覆している請求項1または2に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記発熱抵抗体層の前記吐出口側の面を被覆している前記被覆層の厚みは、前記発熱抵抗体層の前記基板側の面を被覆している前記被覆層の厚み以上の厚みである請求項3に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記被覆層は、TaまたはIrの少なくとも一方で形成されている請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記側壁部材は、SiC、SiN、SiCN、SiO2、オキシナイトライドの少なくとも1つで形成されている請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記被覆層はTaで形成され、前記側壁部材はSiNで形成されている請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記被覆層はIrで形成され、前記側壁部材はSiNで形成されている請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記被覆層の前記発熱抵抗体層の片面当たりの厚みは、0.1μm以上、1.0μm以下である請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記側壁部材の厚みは、1.0μm以上、5.0μm以下である請求項1乃至9のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記側壁部材の厚みは、2.0μm以上、3.0μm以下である請求項1乃至9のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記発熱抵抗体層の厚みは、0.1μm以上、1.0μm以下である請求項1乃至11のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記発熱抵抗体層の厚みは、0.2μm以上、0.8μm以下である請求項1乃至11のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 基板と、発熱抵抗体層と、圧力室の側壁を形成する側壁部材とを有し、前記圧力室の内部の液体を前記発熱抵抗体層の熱作用部で発泡させることで吐出口から液体を吐出し、前記熱作用部は前記基板から離間しており、前記圧力室の内部において前記発熱抵抗体層の表面の少なくとも一部は被覆層で被覆されており、前記被覆層は前記圧力室の内部から前記側壁部材の側壁と接触する位置まで延在している液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法であって、
前記基板の表面に第1の型材を形成する工程と、
前記基板の表面及び前記第1の型材を覆うように、前記発熱抵抗体層を形成する工程と、
前記発熱抵抗体層の表面を被覆するように、被覆層を形成する工程と、
前記被覆層の上に、第2の型材を形成する工程と、
前記第2の型材を被覆し、前記被覆層に接触するように前記側壁部材を形成する工程と、
前記第1の型材及び前記第2の型材を除去し、前記圧力室を形成する工程と、
を有することを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。 - 前記被覆層は、TaまたはIrの少なくとも一方で形成されている請求項14に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
- 前記側壁部材は、SiC、SiN、SiCN、SiO2、オキシナイトライドの少なくとも1つで形成されている請求項14または15に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
- 基板と、発熱抵抗体層と、圧力室の側壁を形成する側壁部材とを有し、前記圧力室の内部の液体を前記発熱抵抗体層の熱作用部で発泡させることで吐出口から液体を吐出し、前記熱作用部は前記基板から離間しており、前記圧力室の内部において前記発熱抵抗体層の表面の少なくとも一部は被覆層で被覆されており、前記被覆層は前記圧力室の内部から前記側壁部材の側壁と接触する位置まで延在している液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法であって、
前記基板の表面に第1の型材を形成する工程と、
前記基板の表面及び前記第1の型材を覆うように、被覆層を形成する工程と、
前記被覆層を覆うように、前記発熱抵抗体層を形成する工程と、
前記発熱抵抗体層の表面を被覆するように、被覆層を形成する工程と、
前記発熱抵抗体層の表面を被覆する被覆層の上に、第2の型材を形成する工程と、
前記第2の型材を被覆し、前記発熱抵抗体層の表面を被覆する被覆層に接触するように前記側壁部材を形成する工程と、
前記第1の型材及び前記第2の型材を除去し、前記圧力室を形成する工程と、
を有することを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。 - 前記被覆層は、TaまたはIrの少なくとも一方で形成されており、前記側壁部材は、SiC、SiN、SiCN、SiO2、オキシナイトライドの少なくとも1つで形成されている請求項17に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
