Claims (1)
- 外筒に対して電気的に絶縁された状態で当該外筒内に設けられ、通電されることにより発熱する導電性担体に触媒を担持させた電気加熱式の第1触媒装置と、
前記導電性担体の温度を間接的に検出するための温度センサと、
前記第1触媒装置の排気流れ方向下流側に当該第1触媒装置と隣接するように前記外筒内に設けられ、絶縁性担体に触媒を担持させた第2触媒装置と、
を排気経路に備え、
前記温度センサは、基端部が前記外筒に対して電気的に絶縁された状態で当該外筒に取り付けられると共に、先端の感温部が前記絶縁性担体の排気流れ方向上流側の端部に形成された収容穴の内部に配置されている、
内燃機関。
