Description
Claims (13)
- 外側レース(2)と;
内側レース(3)と;
前記外側レース及び前記内側レース(2,3)間に配置された一列の転がり部材(4)と;
前記内側レース(3)の内孔内に取り付けられたスリーブ(6)と;
前記内側レース(3)へ軸方向の予荷重を伝達することができる予荷重用弾性部材(10,11)であって、前記内側レース(3)に直接接触して取り付けられ、前記スリーブ(6)の環状の軸方向心出し部分(6a)と、前記軸方向心出し部分(6a)から装置(1)の外側に向かって径方向に延在し且つ全周にわたって予荷重用弾性部材(10,11)を軸方向に支持する前記スリーブ(6)の径方向支持フランジ(6b)と、に接触することができる、予荷重用弾性部材(10,11)と;を備える転がり軸受組立装置において、
全周にわたって前記スリーブ(6)の前記径方向支持フランジ(6b)を軸方向に当接支持する軸方向保持手段(16,18)を備えており、
前記予荷重用弾性部材(10、11)が、前記内側レース(3)と前記径方向支持フランジ(6b)との間に軸方向で位置していることを特徴とする転がり軸受組立装置。 - 前記軸方向保持手段(16)は、前記スリーブ(6)に対する径方向保持手段を形成する軸方向部分(16a)と、前記軸方向部分(16a)から径方向内側に向かって延在し且つ前記径方向支持フランジ(6b)を軸方向に支持する径方向部分(16b)と、を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の転がり軸受組立装置。
- 前記軸方向保持手段(18)は、前記径方向支持フランジ(6b)を軸方向に支持する凹形部分(18a)を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の転がり軸受組立装置。
- 前記スリーブ(6)は、一体ものとして製造されていることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の転がり軸受組立装置。
- 前記内側レース及び前記外側レース(2,3)それぞれは、一体ものとして製造されていることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の転がり軸受組立装置。
- 前記予荷重用弾性部材(10,11)は、前記スリーブ(6)における前記心出し部分(6a)の円筒状外面と直接接触する内側内孔を備えた環形状を有していることを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の転がり軸受組立装置。
- 前記予荷重用弾性部材(10,11)の切り口断面は、円形または平行六面体形状であることを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の転がり軸受組立装置。
- 前記予荷重用弾性部材(10,11)は、合成材料、好ましくはエラストマー材料から製造されていることを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の転がり軸受組立装置。
- 溝が、前記心出し部分の円筒状外面に形成され、該溝の形状は、前記予荷重用弾性部材(10)の形状と一致していることを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の転がり軸受組立装置。
- 前記転がり部材(4)における周方向の間隔を維持するためのケージ(5)を備え、該ケージ(5)は、前記内側レース(3)の軸方向端部を越えて延在し且つ前記スリーブ(6)に向かって延在して前記スリーブ(6)と協働する径方向突出部(5d)が設けられた小径の環状の軸方向部分(5a)を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の転がり軸受組立装置。
- 管状ハウジング(14)と、前記ハウジング(14)と同軸のシャフト(15)と、前記ハウジング(14)と前記シャフト(15)との間に取り付けられた少なくとも1つの請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の転がり軸受組立装置(1)と、を備えることを特徴とするステアリングコラム。
- 前記軸方向保持手段(16,18)は、前記シャフト(15)に向かってほぼ傾斜して向けられ且つ前記シャフト(15)と協働する複数のタブ(16c,18b)を備えていることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のステアリングコラム。
- 前記外側レース(2)は、前記ハウジング(14)に軸方向に保持されていることを特徴とする請求項11または12に記載のステアリングコラム。
