Description
1/Tg = w1/Tg(1) +w2/Tg(2)
コポリマーの場合、w1及びw2は反応容器に詰めたモノマーの重量に基づいて、2つのモノマーの重量分率を示し、Tg(1)及びTg(2)はケルビン温度における2つの対応するホモポリマーのガラス転移温度を示す。3つ以上のモノマーを含むポリマーの場合、追加の項(wn/Tg(n))が加えられる。この発明の目的のためのホモポリマーのガラス転移温度はJ.Brandrup及びE.H. Immergutによって編集された「Polymer Handbook」Interscience Publishers, 1966に報告されているものであり、その出版物が特定のホモポリマーのTgを報告しない場合を除き、その場合、ホモポリマーのTgは示差走査熱量計(DSC)によって測定される。DSCによりホモポリマーのガラス転移温度を測定するために、ホモポリマー試料が調製され、アンモニア又は第一アミンの非存在下で保持される。ホモポリマー試料は乾燥され、120℃に予熱され、−100℃に急激に冷却された。そしてデータを収集しながら20℃/分の速度で150℃に加熱された。ホモポリマーのガラス転移温度はハーフハイト法を用いて変曲の中点で測定される。

好ましくは、外装仕上げ組成物は、外装仕上げ組成物の総重量に基づき、10〜30wt%の水を含む。好ましくは、外装仕上げ組成物は、外装断熱及び仕上げシステム(EIFS)のトップコートである。
Claims (10)
- カルボキシル基含有の多ステージアクリルコポリマーを含む水に再分散可能なポリマー粉体(RDP)であって、
(a)アルカリ可溶性樹脂の外部ステージ及び1つ以上の内部ステージと、
(b)150℃〜500℃の沸点及び3.5以下の水溶解度を有する核形成剤と、
(c)コロイド安定剤と、
を有し、水に分散させた場合、前記1つ以上の内部ステージはFox式を用いて計算された−40〜50℃のガラス転移温度(Tg)を有するアクリル(コ)ポリマーを含み、前記アルカリ可溶性樹脂の外部ステージ、対前記1つ以上の内部ステージの重量比は1:19〜2:3である、前記RDP。 - 前記アルカリ可溶性樹脂の外部ステージ、対前記1つ以上の内部ステージの前記重量比は1:19〜1:4である、請求項1記載のRDP。
- 前記1つ以上の内部ステージは−20〜25℃のTgを有する、請求項1記載のRDP。
- 前記多ステージアクリルコポリマーは、重合体単位としてポリマー固形分に基づいて、0.1〜2.0wt%の1つ以上の多官能モノマーを含む、請求項1記載のRDP。
- 前記コロイド安定剤は、前記RDPの前記全乾燥重量に基づいて、2.0〜10.0wt%の量で存在する、請求項1記載のRDP。
- 前記RDPの前記全乾燥重量に基づいて、3〜30wt%の固結防止剤を更に含む、請求項1記載のRDP。
- 前記多ステージアクリルコポリマーは、前記コポリマーを製造するために使用されるモノマーの前記全乾燥重量に基づいて、重合単位として0.1〜20wt%の1つ以上のカルボキシル基含有のモノマーを含む、請求項1記載のRDP。
- 外装仕上げ組成物に使用するための非セメント乾燥混合配合物であって、前記乾燥混合配合物は、前記乾燥混合配合物の前記総重量に基づいて、40〜80wt%の骨材、及び3〜30wt%の請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載のRDPを含む、非セメント乾燥混合配合物。
- 請求項8記載の前記乾燥混合配合物及び水を含む非セメント外装仕上げ組成物であって、前記乾燥混合配合物は、前記組成物の前記乾燥重量に基づいて、10wt%以下の量の1種以上の顔料を含み、及び前記仕上げ組成物は、60〜100%の総顔料体積濃度(PVC)含有量を有する、非セメント外装仕上げ組成物。
- 外装仕上げ組成物で表面にコーティングを形成する方法であって、前記方法は、
a)前記表面に請求項9に記載の外装仕上げ組成物を塗布する工程と、
b)前記外装仕上げ組成物を乾燥する又は乾燥させる工程と、
を含む、前記方法。
